Mold has been on the Welsh news at every bulletin today, all for the wrong reasons of flooded roads and people having to evacuate their homes due to flooding. Thankfully we were not affected but less than 100yards away a neighbouring road was flooded and a community hall had to cancel all activities due to being flooded. The rain hasn't stopped for a second since 7pm last night.

 Thanks, Peter: fascinating!
Luckily it wasn't as bad as that this morning, though I didn't like seeing my cable in a pond!
Looks like Mold has been badly affected. I hope no Forum Members have been.

Heavy rain overnight, wind has died down with a weather window to get out earlier for a wee donder in the dark.
Hope you all managed through out the storm without any damage, just glad I replaced some of our old wooden fence panels.
Have a nice weekend,stay safe.

Been raining again overnight but not as bad as last time. We are still in ths new red warning  ut just at southern tip of it. Original plan was to drop moho off at daughter no2s  house yesterday while she was at work and bring her car home while she went south for a week starting today,  drastic change of plans as she took a severe asthma attack at work which took several hours to control. Did a scoop and run and brought her back here during weather window between red alerts having found a safe route that was open using A94 to Perth the M90. She is back to normal this morning but due to red warning trip delayed 24 hours.

Never a dull moment with family

Stay safe everyone

We had a lot of strong winds but comparatively very little rain yesterday. We expect that to change today as more rain is forecast. I'm saddened to see how badly people are being adversely affected by the flooding and the damage it's causing.

Stay safe folks.

We seem to have faired the storm better than people in some areas. It’s dry so far this morning so muttly can have a longer walk.
The mention of flooding brings back memories of were we lived in Saddleworth alongside the river Tame. During the sixties we came home early from our holiday because of reports of flooding in our area. Dad opened the back door to be met by our shoes floating out. On one occasion a fireman asked if we wanted the water pumping out. At that point the river was half way up the windows on the bottom floor and there was three foot of water in the garden.

Hope your daughter recovers soon Bb and manages to get away.
Flying solo for the early shop today, management had another bad night. Rained hard first thing but dry now with little wind although it is quite overcast. Spending the day playing nurse, had planned to join aid convoy to Warsaw in a few days but that is not going to happen. Two more convoys in November and another in December with usual stuff plus gifts for Ukraine's front line workers and displaced children so hope to join one of them.
Take care for all those in the dreadful weather and have a great day wherever you are. allthumbz

6 degrees this morning but a bit breezy.  No rain forecast here but that will no doubt change.  We seem to have missed most of it so far.

Stay safe folks.

After a debate (with myself  think_smiley_46) this morning,  we decided to go ahead with our few days away in Stirlingshire. Right now it's dry. sunny with blue skies but there's a cold wind blowing. I wish a speedy recovery for all those not feeling so great.

Fine here in Lincoln now too, indeed was too yesterday.
Just seen the rainfall figures with Perth highest, by far, with 210mm, but many places over 100, surprised to see Wattisham at 110, but also Mold at 100.

Hope all badly affected both safe and recovering

Clear sky overnight so frosty this morning, had to defrost car we park in front of Moho to let daughter finally away for her trip. All local rest centres now closed as safe accommodation found for those displaced, A90 still closed north of us as engineers need to assess safety of couple of bridges over rivers

Take care everyone

Clear and cloudless here in Stirlingshire this morning, as you would expect it's very cold. Got a walk planned so getting wrapped and out whilst the going is good.

Take care all.

Bit chilly this morning, only 5 degrees but it's bright and sunny and forecast to stay like this the rest of the day.
