A lovely bright morning here. After muttly has been for his wander it’s time to have a last clear up in the garden. The last garden waste collection for this year is Tuesday. The storm brought down the dead palm fonds and most of the leaves. It would be a good excuse to cut back the hedges but tree man is coming soon so I might bribe him to do it for me. Once the front hedge gets above shoulder hight I find it difficult to trim without hurting.

Mold flood waters have all gone now, don't know how many houses were affected,  must be devastating for the inhabitants who have had property ruined.
Dry and sunny today, 7° at moment,  expected high of 12°.

I totally agree Paul, it must be heart-breaking to see your home flooded out.

Chilly walk with Tag under a starlite sky earlier, back in to get a weeks wash on and out into the sun.
Hope you are all well, keep dry and safe.

Mostly sunny with the odd shower today, camelias are beginning to flower already yet the summer plants are still out in the yard. Crazy times.
Managed to give the van a good airing today quite surprised at the amount of condensation already.
Rain coming tomorrow.
Stay safe and take care wherever you are.

Morning folks,

Cold one this morning again.  1 degree but it's dry and is supposed to stay that way all day.

Take care all.

14 degrees and heavy cloud cover, SW breeze too, pretty sure rain on the way. Trying to get Lady G to a medic today but our local surgery is doing everything possible to avoid face to face appointments. To me that is not good enough, happy to pay privately if necessary but some things you don't mess with.
Have a great day all and stay safe.

Heavy frost and -1 this morning. A90 still blocked north of Forfar, " no identified diversion route" between Forfar and Brechin so absolute mayhem on back roads not designed for heavy traffic. One road has had to be closed as surface has degraded to dangerous level due to number of HGVs using it over weekend. Queue of traffic coming off A90 looking for way north started just after 3am outside our house. Can't see end of line but think we are in for days of this.

Just hope when water level at Finavon drops enough to let engineers check the bridge that it is deemed safe to open A90 fully. If repairs are needed town could be grid locked for weeks.

Good luck with your endeavours GH. Looks like the aftershocks from the carnage of Bibet will be felt for some time yet BB.

Frost here this morning and -1°c so grateful the van heating is working. Enjoyable walk yesterday but lots of mud on the ground which made some bits a tad tricky. Decided to dodge the potential for involuntary somersaults and stick to pavements today winks

Take care folks.

A bit chilly but a lovely bright morning for our walk. It must have been chilly during the night because the heater had tripped on in the workshop. I normally leave it on the frost setting but I turned it up during the weekend whilst I was in there cleaning up and putting things away ready for starting fresh today.

11 degrees and light rain, but happy days A90 was opened at 5am this morning with no gridlock across Forfar and Brechin plus all country roads in between.

Enjoying the peace of normal traffic outside the house.

Have a good day, I know I will up!

Similar temperature here and pretty overcast. The forecast suggests there is a chance of occasional showers. Might go for a wander, or might not. Don't know what your problem is BB, according to the weather presenter on ITV last night, the North East of Scotland is close to the coast "so used to getting floods"  confused0  No, me neither  happyno

Take care folks

Up early this morning, 0945, not the best of nights. Dry and overcast so far, 13 degrees and haven't seen the forecast yet.
Not a lot planned, a couple of bushes need removing because we have honey fungus and if you don't catch it early it will kill a whole lot more. Hope the floods are subsiding up North and things get back to normal soon.

Dark broken cloud here but dry so far. Hopefully get all the bits done before any precipitation occurs and we begin the torturous journey of about 45 minutes home hugegrins Still lots of vans on the go up here, mostly from Germany.

Hope you are all well.

12 degrees and dry although still very wet underfoot, waiting for a some new security lights to be delivered then put them up before the rain returns hopefully. Something I learned, the sale of 500w bulbs is now illegal, should really go all LED as we have indoors but still have a supply of old bulbs left and not throwing them away.
Sun is shining brightly at the moment so best make the most of it.

Rain, and more rain. Not as heavy as last week and without the wind, but won't help flooded fields etc.
Safe travels for those on the move
