Re: Weather
Snap, 8°c, dry, cool and cloudy. Got a bit showery yesterday but the forecast is for warmer stuff coming in from the SW, but they said that would happen yesterday Still got some things to do around the house, things that used to take minutes that now seem to take hours
Take it easy

Cool and dry like the others.
Great concert last night, how to focus on Sunshine on Leith for rest of week until Saturday.
Won't mention the rugby

Overcast and cooler along the East Coast since midday, hasn't stopped the trippers from hitting the promanard and beaches.

Re: Weather
Much colder again at 2degrees.
Dress rehearsal for Sunshine on Leith tonight in Arbroath. Run time should be 7.30 until just after 10. If that is right should be home by 11, even so long lie in order tomorrow morning. Been told we will have pickups attached to our instruments and linked into sound system with cast. Been playing viola for over 50 years and this will be a first.
Have a good day.

Yes, looks like 2°c is the standard this morning. No frost though and cloudy so it should warm up a little later. Quiet day planned......and we all know how that usually turns out
Take care folks

Re: Weather
After a mild day yesterday it’s gone grey and cold in the breeze today. Management decided we needed a trip to the jewelers in town to have a couple of her rings altered so we walked rather than taking the car. I needed a cup of tea to thaw out before we set off home.

Back to hard frost and 0degrees.no wind but noticeably colder.
Dress rehearsal last night over ran slightly so wasn't home until 11.15. First night tonight and theatre is three quarters booked, and it is fuller for the rest if week. Got admit there are some nice tunes in this..Sunshine on Leith, Letter from America and 500 miles all crowd pleasers.

Yes the boys wrote some crackers BB, Letter from America is my favourite and there's a great version of 500 miles by "Sleeping as last". Scott's porridge Boaby, very posh, I make do with the stuff from Aldi's
4°c showing on the guage right now with light cloud. Weatherperson suggests that we have Sahara dust in the rain heading our way for later, nice Coffee and a blether with my brother this morning, gives us a chance to sort out all the answers to all today's big issues

Re: Weather
A bright start today and it feels warmer without the breeze we had yesterday. I think a bit of workshop time is on order. After cutting some chunks of steel with the angle grinder yesterday it will be good to have the door open and vent the place for a while. It was a job I was putting off because cutting 3” round bar with a hacksaw would have been hard work until I remembered I had some good quality cutting discs. They certainly worked well but it was a bit messy.

Good luck with the concert Bb, sure it will be a winner.
Lovely morning down here, 9 degrees and climbing with blue skies, a bit different to the 30 degrees I was getting used to but I will take it.
Lady G has sainsbury's pogga, puts it in the fridge overnight then gets it out an hour before eating then adds fresh fruit, have an uncle who cooks it then puts it on the windowsill outside to cool, must be doing something right he is 102!
Try that round here though and the gulls would have it in a heartbeat.
Outside working today, can't wait!
Have a great day all

Re: Weather
No not a tower block Bob just a boring head for my milling machine. I dont have room for a bought one so having a few lumps of mild steel inherited from my fathers workshop I decided to make my own smaller size to fit.
Considering my father made clocks mostly from brass he left behind behind some huge lumps of steel. I have made use of some the bigger the lumps but my joints protest after I have cut them hence using the angle grinder. A power hacksaw would be nice but its a lot of money for odd jobs.

You mean you don't do it the old fashioned way Boaby - make it all and put it in a drawer to cool and set then you just need to cut a slice when you want some...
