Bright DRY and sunny here, taking the truck to Sea Palling for a walk on the beach (us that is not the truck!)
Something no one would have even contemplated yesterday.
Beach and village busy as usual, everything, literally, on the truck worked!

Goodness, it has been quite an emotional morning down here, thankfully the weather is dry and mild although a little overcast.
A local lad aged 12 sadly passed away after a long illness,  the family has had an awful time. Jozef loved motorbikes, an appeal went out to local bikers to accompany him on a ride to his place of rest. His remains were on a sidecar, the aim was to reach a hundred motorbikes.
We went along to join others lining the route and it was really moving, there must have been getting on for a thousand bikes of all shapes, sizes and vintages, goodness knows where they all came from, there really is still good in this Country.
Coming back, we have a separate garage block some way from the house and two years ago I put up several bird boxes, interest from the local birds zero. Passing this morning over the moon to see we now have residents busily building for the Spring.
Christmas has gotten off to a good start!
Have a great day all allthumbz allthumbz

Feels milder than of late and very still.

Just had Christmas morning fry up. Bacon, egg, square sausage, potato scone, fruit pudding and tomatoes. Nice bit of toast on the side and steaming hot mug of tea. Now to sit and digest very peacefully before tackling turkey late afternoon.

Have a peaceful and contented day all christmastree

Back to -1 this morning with frost on grass and car windscreens frozen. If it stays like this will be nice for a walk later.

Enjoy your day.

Hope Santa was good to you all  up!

Much colder here too but sitting at 2°c. Although it's still dark outside, I can see enough to tell it's dry with a heavy blanket of cloud covering the sky. We're expecting wintery showers today so I doubt we'll venture out.

It was dry and fairly mild yesterday but today it’s got colder as the day has passed. It was drizzling and a cold wind when we went for our evening  walk.
As a beak from eating Christmas food I suggested  weather provided we could give the Rienza a run out. Management thought that was a good idea and we could take some Christmas left overs for lunch. It only shows how much she listens to me.tap_fingers

Thermometer says -1 but has provided a very hard frost. Snow forecast later.

Brother in law and his wife stopping at us this afternoon on way back home in Musselburgh after spending Christmas near Elgin. When we bought our WXL they had a small company in NE England convert a Citroën van for them. Result was initially about half what we paid, but with remedial work they are catching up on us for spend.

Their fresh water tank was fitted with top to rear of van so kept leaking, new tank needed. Asked for oven grill but only grill fitted so that need replaced. Diesel heater fitted with controls in cab, and leisure battery drained to 11.5v overnight with just fridge and heater on, van ended up being rewired. Despite niggles with Autosleeper models his problems have been in a different league

No doubt we will compare notes again today.  At least when time comes to sell or trade in I think we will get better % return against purchase price.

Have a good day

4° and very dull here, expected high of 10°.. Dry at moment but with 97% chance of rain, I don't think it will be long before we get it. Busy day today, son, his partner and two granddaughters (7&3) coming and stopping overnight.

Ended up with over 2 inches of snow yesterday with predictable results of handful of accidents on A90. Fortunately no reporst of serious injury or worse.

3 degrees and very slippy underfoot this morning.

Take care if you are out and about

Up significantly to 7°c this morning but it looks dull and dreary outside. It got very windy last night and there has been some early morning rain. According to the forecast we have much more on the way from the south west today and tomorrow. Think we need to get out, we're starting to get cabin fever  snigger

Mrs A gave me some good news yesterday, you've got two numbers on the lottery, £30 she said. Oh wait, it's three numbers, £58. No, she said, I'm wrong, it's four numbers (now I was paying attention  biggrin) £198  up!

As much as she tried she couldn't get it up to 5 or 6 numbers though  hugegrins
