At Trago Mills right now eating a large Warren's creamy chicken pasty. Not bad but could be hotter, got the carpet now to get it in the van.
It's like the frozen North up here much colder than the far South West Coast.
Will be looking out for you on the flip side TW, think we are off to see the tunnel of light at Charlestown Harbour.

Watched a recent documentary where Charlestown was featured, looks a lovely wee place, taken over by second home owners, like Rothesay.
Blue sky, lots of birds, local Sparrow hawk out after the wee brown ones.
Have a nice day.

Gloomy and overcast so decided to go for a little drive with the wife … Spotted four Kestrels hovering above neighbouring fields. Posted a while ago I hadn’t seen any in a long time so really made my day smile!

Ah, Charlestown! I kept an eye out this morning heading west, Hog, but we came home up the A30. It was a beautiful day down west and I’ve never before seen so many surfers at Gwithian in December!

It was cold but bright and clear for our morning walk. By the time I walked to the post office at lunch time it had warmed up considerably. I was hot by time I got home wearing my big coat and woolly hat.
I think it’s going to be chilly tonight because there no cloud cover. I hope it dosnt get frosty because management has to drive over the wolds from her friends tonight. cold

Frosty when we got home late last night from concert. Did wonder if it would go ahead, audience well spaced, masked and well behaved, doors open at both ends so needed to be well wrapped up. Although I play s stringed instrument in orchestras there is something magical about a top flight Brass band giving their all at their first public performance in two years. Wall of sound was great.

Looks milder this morning and frost has gone but reddish tinge to sky in the west as dawn is breaking.

Another dry, mild day. Waiting for my final parcel, well done UPS for getting into the spirit by turning it into a pantomime. I get an email last night telling me it's arriving today. Oh no it isn't, half an hour later I get another saying it's been rescheduled for Monday. An hour later I get a text message saying it's being delivered today  think_smiley_46

It’s a nice bright and chilly morning here. Management said the drive home over the wolds last night was nice in the moonlight but as she came towards town the mist came down.
After muttly walking I think there should be a card for management and hopefully my new hat should be here. The hat did involve a conversation with Amazon. They have decided to put me on prime membership without me being asked. For the amount we use Amazon another ninety quid a year old be better spent elsewhere.

Back from the early supermarket shop, fairly quiet out and about and the shop was really well stocked. A new LIDL and ALDI being built within a few hundred yards of Sainsburys should be open after Christmas so I see a lot more competition coming which has to be good.
Dry and overcast this morning but not at all cold, 12 degrees and a very gentle easterly breeze.
Will give the van a bath today and then a few little jobs to do in the garden. Pottering I think you call it!

Need to be on your guard the whole time when trying to buy from Amazon, they keep changing the checkout process to try to get you to sign up for prime.

I tend to look on Amazon to see what range of the item I am looking for is available, then use Dr Google to try to find an independent business to spend my money with. During lockdown also got back in to the habit of shopping locally in town rather than online or travelling to Dundee

Turned to be a lovely morning here now, blue sky and sunshine.

This mornings walk was a bit tricky in places. Last nights mist has frozen overnight making the pavements and roads very slippery were they are in shadow from the sun. Muttly didnt seem to have any problems with traction control because of his big hairy feet but I had a couple of near calls. The worst place was crossing one of side streets. Gritters dont come off the main road so it can get a bit tricky at times.

After yesterdays cold grey afternoon I had hoped it would clear this morning . Its cold damp and grey out there. I dont plan on doing a lot after muttly has had his stroll. This weather seems to get into my joints and me feel tired so easily. This is the time of year I am glad I gave doing roadside breakdown work. Being cold and wet dosnt seem too bad when youre young and daft. It was just another day at work and a job I enjoyed.
I have found a small bottle of Glen Allachie left over from last year so that will help keep the cold out tonight. cold

Birds all roosting n the hedges only the odd Blackies coming in for a wee dippie.

Very foggy here too, gauge says 10°c but it feel much, much colder. Very glad to be here, went to the local newsagent for a paper and decided to use the pedestrian crossing as the road was busy. I waited until the lights went red and the cars had stopped on my side. As I made my way across I almost got wiped out by a white Corsa going through at well over the speed limit on the other side. Unfortunately it was going too fast to get the reg plate, I just hope some of the cars that stopped had a dash cam.
