I posted couple weeks ago that we had to change a holiday booking for me to get my second jab. Originally booked for 3rd May, the brought forward to 22nd April because 3rd May is a BH. So changed holiday booking. Just arrived home to find tomorrow booking cancelled as it was not the advised 12 weeks after my first. So now rebooked for 6th May.
Annoyed? Me? Not half!!!!!!

My original booking was 11 weeks after 1st jab, the brought forward appointment  would have been 9.5 weeks after, considering  the original gap when vaccine launched was 3 weeks, would it really have mattered if I'd had it at 9.5 weeks ? New appointment  now 11.5 weeks after.

The whole point of the 12 weeks was  that 3 weeks was needed from the 1st to prevent interactions. The second was needed within 12 weeks as it was proved there was no loss in efficacy for the second within the 3 to 12 week period. Any time with three to twelve weeks would provide the same result. At the moment there is no direct clinical studies to show longer waits beyond 12 is an issue

I am under my hospitals Outpatient care and although not classified as at risk they had the 1st done early before my cohort was due and the second at 4 weeks.

Not surprised, I would be annoyed too.

I just received notice of my appointment for the second dose, next Tuesday which is a couple of days under 11 weeks. We have deliberately put several things on hold to ensure we're both available for the appointments.

Exactly  why I don't understand  the cancellation due to "not the advised 12 weeks" . Perhaps  the GP's are not being allowed their own discretion by the health board. We are talking here about Betis Cadwallader health board who were until recently  under 'special measures' and had been for  several years.

My wife has been waiting for a call, as her jab is now due this Saturday at 12 weeks.

Seems they have no record of my wife being on this Earth!!!

Just speaking to 119 and told to book both jabs again, then cancel the 2nd one.

How the hell do they know how many have had the jab?????? when those that have had the jab are not on the system. Like they say you can prove anything with numbers.

It would appear every one on the forum has had their second jab, ?  Wife was down town this lunch time for some eye drops, every Pharmacy was doing COVID jabs, queuing outside was mostly under 40 year olds.
She noticed while driving through town hardly anyone, except the older generation was wearing face masks.
Let's hope this Delta variant doesn't take hold and shut everyone down again.
