CV Vaccine Empty CV Vaccine

Post by Bobskate Wed Dec 16, 2020 7:49 pm

I despair. I have just watched the local TV news bulletin here in London. They interviewed three people who were not going to have the vaccine.

No 1 “I protect myself with garlic and ginger”
No 2 “Jesus protects me...I will not get the virus”
No 3 “They have hidden chips in the vaccine” ...maybe French fries would be ok smile!

If I was one of the research scientists I would be tempted to pack up and go home. Anyway if they don’t have the vaccine all the more for the rest of us.

Hey ho.

There is another sad fact that will no doubt will be picked up by The anti vaxxers and twisted for there own ends. As the majority of people receiving the vaccine are in their 80s or 90s it is sadly true that some of them will naturally die in the next few months and there will be those that claim it was the vaccine that killed them, what ever the cause was, and of doctors will be covering up the truth by putting something else on the death certificate.

Mike

The other issue is that many, if not most, folk of those age groups are probably already on a cocktail of numerous different existing medications. It is impossible to check for potential adverse reactions with every possible combination of drugs already in existence. This can be a problem with any newly developed pharmaceutical and no matter how rigorous the trials, this may only come to light once released and in common use.

I have a friend who has had the vacine this week along with his wife. They both have severe walking difficulties but with the aid of frames they made it into the building. He said there were no problems and couldnt understand why some people were crying off it He added they would sooner have the jab and see their 90th birthday than not have it and get corvid instead

There was a comment that I read somewhere made me smile.
Said he had a relative that said she wouldn't have the jab because she didn't know what was in it.
Said this is a woman that will buy 40 beefburgers for £2 quid from Farmfoods.

I met up with a group that I belong to the other day.... there were about a dozen of us. As often happens nowadays we got talking about the vaccine. One of the girls....I’m assuming 45 is still a girl...who I know reasonably well launched a tirade about the pharma companies  making a fortune out of all this, and it being another way for the government to extract money from us. I didn’t quite understand that but she is intelligent, articulate, a singer, actress (ooops actor) and voice coach. A nice person and pillar of the local church. She certainly wasn’t having the vaccine and anyway it’s all a con. I backed off completely as she seemed to be getting very agitated about it. Thought it was very sad as I had just seen the excellent BBC documentary about the Oxford vaccine and the incredible hours worked at the university and the manufacturers. Talk about working their socks off. Oh yes ....eventually it will be given away to many low income countries. If I had done all that work I think I might have been slightly miffed.

If anyone would like an estimate of when they might get the vaccine, use this calculator....

My dad (85) received a text message from his surgery today with a link to the booking system which gives you available date and time slots.
It was a simple process and he is having it next Tuesday with the follow up 2 weeks later.

I thought it was another scam txt at first but a call to the surgery confirmed it wasn’t.

We are told that we will be informed but my question is 'By whom?'
I thought that our large and modern surgery might be doing the vaccinations and that the appointment would come through them but apparently surgeries in this area are not vaccinating; There will, apparently,  be two large hubs (sports halls.)
I think that this is an omission in government information:  who informs us?

A dog walker and long term friend of ours had a call from the Doctors yesterday, jab being done next Wednesday and follow up in 2 weeks.

He is just over 80 and had a heart op done a couple of years ago. He did get a text at first and when he rang in they said " all slots gone", after laying into them and saying what's the point of texting me, they rang him back with the date.

Seems you have to speak up to get things done.

Hope this helps others.

Did he not get a link to the booking system in the txt Richard? My dad’s link was specifically for him only.

When I rang my dad’s surgery to check if the txt was legitimate I had a chat with the receptionist.
She explained that there were 2 girls in an office within the surgery but they weren’t people who normally worked there. They had been brought in specially to administer the rollout and contact people by phone to arrange an appointment.
Phone calls from reception to this office were not possible, I guess they would be inundated with calls while trying to actually call people in the relevant vaccination group and to be honest I can understand this policy however frustrating.

I would imagine that the rollout is not being administered in exactly the same way in every region but here is my take on it local to me.

If you are registered on the NHS ‘Patient Access’ system and have a valid mobile number on that system then you get a txt message with a dedicated link to the booking system. This works well in my limited experience.
If the NHS don’t have a way of contacting you electronically or you don’t respond to the link in the txt then eventually you will get a phone call but obviously this takes time as it is very labour intensive.

My experience regarding my parents... My dad’s mobile was registered on the NHS portal and he has an appointment on Tuesday but my mum is not registered and is waiting for the phone call.

Update..... phone call earlier to my parents home phone asking for my mum to book her vaccination. Booked in on Tuesday at the same time as my dad.
This is on Saturday afternoon.

To digress (considerably) This practice of calling all and sundry "actor" regardless of gender annoys me, however, I have come to the conclusion that what it must mean is that all those actors out there we have always thought of as women are in fact drag artists....acting.
