Status 550 Antenna

Just ordered a replacement for my hopeless omnidirectional Telco ariel. 

Upgrading to a Status 550. With a short pole and a signal finder fitted, i'm hoping this will be a big improvement in UK TV reception. Any views?

We have the 530 and get a good signal at most places, even in France we were able to get a good picture and a good range of French channels. You should find it better than the Omni although I think Teleco is a better maker & in Europe they all have Teleco aerials except those fitted with sat dishes.

For easy info on which direction to point the directional type of aerial, there is a handy app for smart phones called 'UK aerial alignment'.

Cheers guys. Getting it fitted the week after next, by a local caravan servicing company. I'll download that app.
