Peugeot Nuevo Rear door panel
Hi.
I require a new panel for the rear door of our Peugeot Autosleeper Nuevo 2008.
The bottom of it has snapped off and as a result the sliding window when open goes beyond its limit and is a pain to get out.
I have contacted Autosleeper but this part is not available.
I have attached a couple of pictures.
Can anyone help please?
Much appreciated.
Simon

Your door is a Dometic Seitz CaraD- rplus. The part required is 02 (part no. BG1528) in the above extract. Where you can get one, I don't know. Reimo's uk agent might be able to order one. Try [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Re: Peugeot Nuevo Rear door panel
I've tried ukleisureparts who contacted Reimo and it is no longer available from either so the best I can do is hope I could get one second hand but searching brings up no luck I'm afraid.
Might have to do a repair.

The cause of the problem is, I think, that the blind catches are supposed to locate in holes in the guide frame. There are several "stop" positions on the way down. On ours, the bottom holes have both broken through so that the blind does not stop in the lowest position as it should. The internal lining on the door (part 02 on the diagram) is very flimsy and would not be strong enough to resist the aggressive return spring on the blind. On ours, I have tied the two catches (blind and fly screen) together, and we have settled for leaving it closed most of the time (which is a shame). I think the best solution might be to devise an additional "stop" fixed to the face of the door at the bottom. The trouble is: how to fix it to the flimsy door.
If you come up with a good answer, let me know.
Alteratively, it might be possible to de-tension the spring. But that might not be easy to access because the inner lining is fixed with awkward plastc clips, which might break.
