Front facing hatch surround cleaning

Hi all. Spent ages giving the van a good clean using a well known cleaner and it came up great. Apart from the plastic type surround of the front hatch. I think I left the cleaner on it too long, sun also drying it, and it’s become dull and smeared. Tried washing it with soap and water but not having any effect. Is there anything anyone would recommend to bring it back up to a shine again. Cheers for any thoughts and recommendations.
