Morning Boaby.  Going to be another hot one today but the forecast is for it to change over the next couple of days - just in time for our trip down to Cumbria...

Looks like another hot one coming today. Tak time sameing it easy in this heat, a bit of painting to do and pick the van up later Like to keep it maintained best as possible so new brake pipes not a huge issue. Having it waxoyled at the same time.
Have a great day all allthumbz

Glorious here again today, though the High Pressure NE wind direction is back so no skinny dipping at Cromer!

As to brake pipes this is bean counter led engineering, it is hardly a surprise that steel corrodes, particularly very thin steel, so why make brake pipes out of it? mine are all copper now...

16 rising to 22 , as yesterday, very pleasant, not too hot , I can't stand really hot. Cool breeze off the sea keeps it just right.

Enjoy it whilst you can, back up to 28°c later but this might be the last day of hot weather for a while. Still having problems getting eggs, are the hens on strike?

Enjoy your travels if away.

Plenty eggs in Morrisons yesterday - still can't get soda scones though..

Just looked at the forecast again and, lo and behold, the thunder has disappeared.

Really hope you enjoy your trip Boaby, hope you, your wife and Tag have a great break. Hope the weather stays decent, nothing to do with us heading for Hawes on Tuesday  snigger
Dave, I think we've found your missing thunder biggrin It was worth the disturbance to see my neighbours tear down their gazebo (which I thought was a shelter from both sun and rain  shrugg) No major dip in temperatures yet though.

Back to normal service with a cloudy sky and rain expected later. Still quite warm though, 17°c just now and getting into the low twenties as the day goes on.

Take it easy.

19° already in North Yorkshire,  rising to 24. Yellow warning of thunderstorm but only 3% chance of rain. Sky not the clear blue of recent days/weeks but a greyness about it although bright.

Cooler morning but still 20 degrees, a few spots of rain overnight but not enough. Sea shanty festival in Falmouth today, getting to be really busy down here now, time to raise the drawbridge and retreat I think.
Van back from the MOT, advisories all done and waxoyled, now time to go and clean up all the greasy marks the mechanics left behind. happyno

We've just got back from six scorching days away in Herefordshire and mid-Wales, apart from the mother of all storms on Monday evening, with strong winds, black skies, thunder, lightning and torrential rain.

It's pretty obvious from the garden that we haven't had much rain here, so i gave it a watering yesterday evening.

Obviously, it poured down all night and the the forecast for my birthday treat tomorrow, sailing on the S.S. Waverley, is for heavy thunder storms again.

Oh joy.

I hope you get your trip on the Waverley Neuvoboy, been a few years since we were on it. Funnily enough, it featured on an episode of Fred Dibnah's Industrial Age programme last week (repeats from 1998 on BBC4).

Just catching the local news from yesterday, we got a little rain but streets less than a mile away were flooded. Pretty dull now and feels heavy outside, think there a bit more rain on the way

Another warm and cloudy day ahead, it's already 20°c. The rain didn't come to much yesterday but, if the forecast is accurate, there will be a lot of it falling tonight into tomorrow.

Enjoy your travels if away.

Much fresher at only 12° right now in Northallerton.  We had couple of light rainfalls yesterday evening, one lasting an hour the other 5 minutes, not enough to do much good other than cool things down. Moving another 30 miles today to just outside York where temp expected to rise to 22 this afternoon.

After a couple of warm days it’s cooled down and become overcast this afternoon. If it rains that will save me watering the plants before we start our travels tomorrow.
As per normal when we go away the weather looks about to change. It’s normal when we get to Norfolk a storm follows us.rainyday

We had a distant rumble of thunder after tea and then half an hour of monsoon class rain. It had almost stopped when I  did a car shuffle to get the Rienza out but the hedge manage to spray me with rain. I have to have the drivers door window open to be sure I missed the gate post.
No mater it will be a fairly dry walk for muttly.walkies
