Well - forecast was wrong, light rain now.  On a brighter note, took a run out to one of the local caravan dealers and got a good deal on a new dinner set which is dishwasher and microwave safe so bye bye melamine..

Meant say earlier - good luck with the concert tonight BB.

Sunny start, 9 degrees but clouding over a little now. Maybe a few spots of rain then forecast to get better in a couple of hours. Looking to get a few days away next week, thought about a week in the Canaries but then looked outside and saw the van we hardly ever use ...so...load up everything we took out and if the sun comes out off somewhere like New Forest, South Devon, Wales who knows!
If it stays wet where we live is lovely!

Have a great day all allthumbz

It was a bit of a mix coming home with gusty showers. Between the A19 and Pickering the wind was head on and getting quite strong.
It brightened up and the rain stopped by the time we got home but it feels cold in the breeze. cold

0 degrees and ice on car windscreens. Sky clear but fresh snow on Grampian mountains overnight

Spectacular display of Northern lights over mountains when I was up for loo visit just after 2am.went downstairs and sat in lounge watching it with a cuppa.

Off to get aircon recharge on management's Auris this morning. Will check if they can do the van which would need aircon machine reaching out to van as won't fit through door.

Stay warm and safe travels for those on the move

Lovely sunny morning here at BD, 5°c allegedly but feels a bit colder than that. Thank goodness for the wee emergency fan heater. Spotted Red Squirrels and Roe Deer yesterday, loads of birds that fly about too quickly for me to spot. A few days ago we saw a Black Swan and it wasn't a pub  snigger

Warmed up a little to 10°c but, oddly, it feels much milder with a bit of light cloud cover. We had a walk through the woods, there us a lot of tree clearing going on after the damage done by the storm 18 months ago. We had look in the site shop which has the usual very limited supply of essentials GH might be as surprised as us to see one of them was a S'mores kit  shrugg

Oh yes sat round the firepit with a couple of cans of Molson toasting s'mores in the wilderness has to be done.
Like you Tony went for a walk in the woods this morning, only twenty minutes from home but never been before, it was really lovely with primroses and bluebells.
Booked to go away next week, only just up the road to Tinwheeler country just across the river from Fowey.
Again an area I don't really know well and less than 90 minutes away.
Thought about you Ian with the C130 in Sudan, when the press start slating people for taking too much time do they really have any concept of the logistics involved. I fear not.
Have a great time everyone on the road and if you are not then get planning.

Bit brisk this morning.  1 degree and dull and looks as if it's to stay that way all day.  Wrap well if you're going out today.

A bright but overcast morning. Hopefully it will stay dry because management was up early to get the last of the washing from our trip done and on the line. She did say there’s porridge for breakfast but it’s a bit slow coming.
It’s going to be an odds and ends day after our walk. I have a parcel coming and a trip to Screwfix is planned for some new work gloves ready for my repairs at the weekend.

Nudged up to 6°c and quite sunny. GH, we come up here as our first trip of the year because it's about 40 minutes from where we store our van. The Primulas are fantastic in the woods but, unlike last year, there's hardly a bluebell to be seen.

Maybe just not a good year for bluebells or down here anyway we are a wee bit early.
Dry and overcast, going down the drains today that should be fun.

It's become quite mild and cloudy, rain is forecast to arrive overnight so it might be a soggy run home tomorrow. When we were up here this time last year the Bluebells were all over the place, I guess it's another symptom of how cold our winter was. I meant to say I love Primulas, my favourite is the one with chopped chives  hugegrins

We are used to gales and torrential rain at Newark Showground. It didn't happen last year and this year so far.... very unusual.
