We are about a year from buying - maybe less - so I'm really keen to read all the feedback on dealers. We have already visited Derby MH's and had great info given from someone there. And we are leaning towards them currently. 
We previously have had a from new, Autotrail Tracker RB but after owning it for 5 years, we really know exactly what we don't want as well as want. 
We bought that from Todds Leisure in Preston and had no complaints whatsoever. 
My q is, if we decide against brand new, is there a dealer that is known for good service, esp after sales service?

Not the cheapest, but who wants a cheap sale and crap service afterwards. Plenty of those around!!

You won't find a better dealer if it's not too far for you to travel.

Ideally you want a dealer with good reputation but also local (even if good you really don't want to be travelling 200 miles to sort out a warranty problem.)
Cotswold are good
Todd's are good
Spinney are good
Derby are good
SMC are good

These have all had good reports from members here. I know there will be others to follow.

Thank you both. Cotswolds aren’t too far and Derby probably closer. Interestingly we are closest to SMC but the guy (older too ) felt like a real wide boy salesman and couldn’t really answer our questions in the detail we wanted. And they weren’t really that detailed tbf. On the way home, we rang Derby MH’s and got Mike. 
And he was exceptional and that really showed us the diff in knowing your product and not.

Front of house and sales person personality can be an indicator of dealership excellence, or otherwise, but they might be no indicator at all of the overall customer experience, especially if you're concerned about after sales, when, generally, you're dealing with a totally different part of a dealership management structure. As you can't really test aftersales before buying then I think you have to rely on overall recommendation from those who've gone through the complete buying and owning experience, rather than base a decision on just one sales person.
