An often overlooked part of Scotland,I personally love Hopeman and was disappointed we had to cancel this years visit, hopefully will have an extended visit next year, including other favourite places along this coastline.
Great to see the local community are gearing up for more visitors

So many more districts should be doing the same!    Coincidently, we were talking to a lady at Bunree last weekend and she was raving about Hopeman so we are off up there for a couple of days in the middle of the month, and then Banchory.

On the "aire" subject, we were out for a spin round the Trossachs yesterday, and noticed that The Loch Katrine Visitor Centre and Pier have moved their designated motorhome bays to the opposite side of the car park, complete with hookups.      Local authorities should be taking a leaf out of their book.

For the best pitches Bob (IMO) are the fully serviced ones at the far end of the site, these large pitches are chuckle stones with drain and FWT. All face the sea, approx 40 feet away, the WC hutties are behind with single showers and toilets, couple of wee shops in the village. The butcher has all the usual meats, his black pudding and square sausage are very tasty.
Wee tottie harbour with golden sand beaches either side, large Tesco just of the A96 leaving Inverness, also three supermarkets in Elgin.
I'm jealous Bob, to many commitments at home ,just had are tear patio doors replaced.
Have a safe trip.

Just back from Portsoy, near Banff, same roughly region.
Good beach site, unfortunately quite a few wilding literally within sight of the site, personally don't consider that fair.
Interestingly the only 2 police cars seen in 1300miles door to door here were passing through the site to patrol it!
Portsoy Links Caravan Park should find it for you on google

We did the site 3 or 4 years back , found the site too packed close together, otherwise it's a nice wee town, loved the harbour and the wee Ice Hoose museum , we did Findochty the previous year.
The wife loved exploring the wee oldie worldie shops.

Went up to Hopeman on Thurs. last week....weather was wonderful with lots of sun and calm seas.    Didnt get a front shore site but one in the "platform" area.    (site is ex railway station)      Great cycle track along to Burghead on the old railway line.    Thought of continuing on to Kinloss and Findhorn but the track deteriorated and we decided to turn back.    Then had an overnight in Banchory CAMC.   Beautiful site and weather still good.   Home via Cairn o Mount  ...  great panoramic views. up!
