Mild,damp with heavy fret in the air, lots of Blackies out on the grass verges, heard some Hooper Swans flying over around 5 ish.

Hard frost this morning, skies have been clear for a few days so no surprise. Still no wee birds other than a Robin. Plenty of big ones though, my neighbour keeps chucking lumps of bread onto their garage roof where the gulls, magpies, pigeons and crows fight it out

Damp and very grey, no wind what so ever ,the smoke from the log burner is going straight  up in a nice swirl , toasty warm inside

Overnight showers cleared by 4, cooler and damp, in for a wet day.

Clear sky’s ,full moon and some stars still showing,no wind and looks like the sun is rising over the sea

Finally, a break from the recent grey, misty wet weather to a lovely clear, dry but cold (3C) morning with the promised of a bit of sunshine. Back to the leaf clearing.

Heavy coastal showers came in around mid morning, lovely rain bow above Flamborough .

Cold with a miserable drizzle of rain, forecast is for it to get much colder with heavy rain over the next few days. Some hill snow on the way too with flurries at lower levels. Thermals at the ready folks

Coastal Showers first thing (4) , cool wind,really chilly, grey overcast morning.

We have snow Not much, about an inch or so but it's the first of the winter. Hopefully the rain forecast for later will wash it away.

I was a bit optimistic, our pavements were covered in black ice and treacherous to walk on. Temperatures have not moved off 1°c all day with blankets of freezing fog keeping any sun from making an impact. More snow now forecast for high ground, hopefully it will stay there.

Escaped the snow and ice so far, heavy rain showers for most of the day.,however snow up on the Wolds.
Not looking forward to tomorrow's rain.

Just been out to "track and trace" the wheely bins Still got the black ice but it now has a thick covering of sleet so I had to tread carefully

Pouring down since dawn,dark grey sky, mud running of the farmers fields. No snow yet.

Snowing here now, not without precedent, my tablet PHOTOS app opens each day with what was happening on this day, 1, 3, 5, 10, 15 yrs ago, whatever it feels like. We had snow here on yesterday, in 2013.

More interesting has been our barograph, 1025Mb on noon Wednesday, 960 this morning 45Mb drop in 40 hrs. That's the low over us now bringing the snow!

Weather window,enough time to get out for a dog walk, a wee bit of blue sky too.
