Cooler clear morning, moisture on the grass,shorter walk this morning. Warming up later.

What a difference a day makes, North easterly wind, cooler sea fret,14 degrees down on yesterday.

It was gorgeous here yesterday but a mist this morning and north cornwall coast threatens to be cloudy all day so abandoning trip to Godrevy for a long walk along the sand. Probably go Friday now as the tides are right and tomorrow is forecast winds up to 40mph. South coast should be much better, we have left the South coast in the past when it has been scorching only to get a few miles North and people are wearing anoraks and coats.

Unrelated to UK I know, but, the smoke from the terrible fires in Oregon USA have now reached Vancouver Island in Canada, grandchildren not allowed out to play at school break. Daughter had a bear and two cubs in the yard yesterday, looks like they came lower down the mountain because of the smoke. Worrying times.

It is indeed worrying, my sister-in-law and her husband live on Vancouver Island although they usually spend half the year away on cruises. Not this year though.

We had great weather yesterday too but there's a cold front passing south carrying drizzly rain. We are promised something better for the rest of the week, I won't hold my breath.

An hour since my last post and the sun has broken through on the south coast but the webcam on the north is still grey and murky. Off to do some painting now and hopefully walk to the local village later, might even give the van some extra wax!!

Cloudless here in Cardiff ... and off to St David's for a few days, with glorious weather predicted. Push bikes loaded; cat has scuttled off somewhere as she's suspicious that she's about to be parked at our daughter's.

I don't know what's coming in with the sea mist(fret Har) the fine sand sticks to the vehicles and bungalow windows .
Washed the van down and polished the bottom half,three trips out and it's covered in sticky grit and sand.
Locals tell me it's the sea weed breaking down in the waves then getting airborne in the wind.
What ever it is  it's a pain to wash off.

Turned out really hot and sunny, had started the hedge cutting before the sun come out ,really hot job with these telescope hedge cutters, funny thing is, the adverts for the cutters shows a wee granny holding them up, Fully extended without any effort with a chessy grin on her face ( must have been an ex caber tossing champ.

Cool morning ,overcast with a slight breeze ,forecast is to get warmer with sunshine this afternoon, moving from Withernsea today to Misterton C&CC THS till Monday

A little cooler this morning at early shopping time but sun coming up over the river. High spring tide so looked stunning. Warming up now and looks like another nice one. Have a great day all and stay safe.

Roasting here, not a cloud in the sky. I got my "big" ladders back from my neighbour, he borrowed them for a couple of hours about two months ago Anyway, I was able to get up to investigate an over running gutter and found debris in the lead channel running down the roof. Cleared it, so hopefully solved the problem (fingers crossed )

Nae chance I know my limitations, two feet and one hand on the ladder at all times.

Another fine cloudless day. My activities, once the papers are bought, is to repair the cold frame. Our local fox keeps jumping over the neighbours fence and uses it as a landing pad So all ground level stuff today

Still dark here, there's an autumnal feel in the air,nice and fresh sea breeze,tons of dried leaves everywhere.
Watched some of the local onshore crab boats going out earlier.

Just cut the lawns very warm day light cloud cover. No rain here though saw some wet roads on the way back from Barnstaple yesterday and dozens of motorhomes out and about.
