Nuevo ES drawer removal
There's a drawer above the heater and below the wardrobe and I can't see how remove it.
There will be a way and it will be straightforward and child-like in it's simplicity, but it's beyond my feeble brain.
Anyone enlighten me?

Drawer
Got the same in my Broadway. Spent some time trying to get it out to work on the water pump below. Like you I put a post on this forum and got no reply. I never did find a way of getting it out, so I look forward to seeing what response you get. Best of luck!

Re: Nuevo ES drawer removal
I've encountered this problem as well, only way I could get into the base of the wardrobe was through the side door in the bathroom (glad it's helpful for something)
So if the drawer is removable then I'd also be interested to learn how, impossible to lean into the wardrobe with the drawer open.... especially when you have a love tank like mine

Drawer Below Wardrobe
If it is the same as we have fitted in our Hampshire, the bad news is it is not removable we have been informed. Not a very bright idea making it damned awkward to get to the MCBs, the pump, and the dump valve requires you to have the arm reach and dexterity of an orang utan. Whoever thought that lot up wants

Re: Nuevo ES drawer removal
Hi all, took my drawer out the other day. All you do is unscrew the six screws (3 down each side)and slide the drawer out leaving the runners attached to the frame work. Unless mine is different from others!!. Makes it alot easier to work in the wardrobe. Mike.

Drawer Under Wardrobe
I wish ours was that easy Mike. Due to the shape of the drawer under the Hampshire's wardrobe not all of the screws are accessible.

Thanks to you all.
When the monsoon eases I'll venture out and look for screws - although I'm tempted to think there just may be an easier way. My wife's kitchen drawers come out without dismantling the runners....

Re: Nuevo ES drawer removal
For a current model NUEVO EK AS aftersales/service say pull drawer out fully lift the front and it will detach from the fixed rails. Problem is it DOES NOT. Has anyone tried what AS say and actually been able to remove the drawer? Alternatively anyone found a straightforward way to remove the drawer with removing screws securing the rails?

Re: Nuevo ES drawer removal
Yes that’s how they do come out, or at least mine do, pull right out, lift front and it should lift off the runners as you continue moving the draw out. It’s more difficult to put them back in because of the odd shape of the draw with one side longer than the other, lining it up with runners is not easy.
It’s the same runners on the kitchen draws but easy to do as they are smaller and square, so you could practice on them to see how they work.

Thanks Mike, I'll give the kitchen drawers a go for practice and then return to the original problem drawer.

Re: Nuevo ES drawer removal
Cracked it, drawer is out. Problem was the rear fixing screw was missing from the left 'fixed' rail allowing the front of that rail to rise and stop the drawer from releasing from that side. New screw fitted and draw now comes out and in again easily. Thanks again Mike.

Re: Nuevo ES drawer removal
Removing that drawer is always difficult but it does come out. Part of the difficulty is that the two runners are not opposite each other. Somewhere here there is a post from Grommet where he describes cutting a couple of v shaped notches in the drawer sides which allows lifting without catching the top of the drawer sides on the top edge of the aperture. Getting it out is a knack!

Re: Nuevo ES drawer removal
Once you've the 'knack' it does not seem necessary to cut the drawer sides. Releasing the right hand slide first this allows the drawer to be moved to the right and out pops the left runner.

Re: Nuevo ES drawer removal
Surely not, if so they need to redesign the drawer fixings ASAP. Maybe I should become a Design Consultant to AS! With my new scerw in place it is a staightfowrd job to remove and replace the drawer. As I mentioned before, lift the right hand side to free the nylon wheel from the fixed rail then move the whole drawer to the right a small amount and the wheel on the left side comes free from the fixed rail that side. Reverse the proceedure and the drawer is back in place. Incidentally the connection cover for the Combi 6E heater was lying loose on the van floor, another Quality failure by AS. Worth checing as there are live electrical points which could be a problem should any metallic item drop onto these areas, say dropping over/from the back of the drawer.

Had mine out a few times ,it is a phaff but doable , I think the problem is caused by the drawer front being offset not square .

Re: Nuevo ES drawer removal
Just removed mine. Pulled the drawer out, 3 screws either side of the drawer holding the runners to the drawer removed and the drawer pulls out leaving the runners attached to the underside of the wardrobe.
Originally I tried removing the runners from the wardrobe but you can’t get to all the screws.
It probably took longer to write this than to remove the drawer!

Fettling the under-wardrobe drawer
Among the fix-it jobs on the recently acquired mystery machine was the rattly under-wardrobe drawer and its reluctance to glide effortlessly in and out.
As described in earlier posts the 'jiggle it' routine to dismount the drawer from the unequal runners wasn't necessary as only the right side was engaged with the runner and the wheels. The left side had no intention of engaging its runner, being 9mm shy of it and dangling in free space, leaving the bottom edge of the drawer to bind on the woodwork below. Clearly, this had been the case since delivery as witnessed by a worn groove and the pristine left-side runner and wheels.
It was a simple enough job to remove the screws attaching the runner, fix in a strip of suitably dimensioned wood, and refix the runner. That done the drawer could be jiggled into place and onto (for the first time) both runners, leaving one perfectly sliding drawer.
That wouldn't latch....
Closer inspection of the upper latch plate showed that it must have been a regular job for past owners to readjust (i.e. move) the latch around and try to re-attach it to increasingly disintegrating woodwork. These fixes were all doomed of course as the aforementioned runner problem meant that the whole arrangement moved this way and that with little encouragement, only to need another dose of 'fixing'.
The obvious solution was to glue and cramp the failing infrastructure adding slivers of wood for strength where necessary. Then a block was screwed to the underside of the wardrobe floor, to which the latch could be fixed and adjusted for a satisfying closure.
Next job - cupholders in the cockpit.
