Always Number One

Just a quick rant to keep in practice!

Why is it that just about every novel I have ever read is described as, "From the number one international best selling author . . . . xxxxx xxxxxx"?

They can't all be number one, so why the bullshine??    

Suppose they might have been number 1 some place, sometime   

Just to keep in practice......my issues are with reissues and co-authors. There seems to be a trend for old books to get tarted up with new jacket photos and reissued.

There's also the new book from xxxx xxxxx and in small print below it'll say "with or in association with xxxx xxxxx". I think we all know what that really means  

You mis understand number one in each of 257 countries give you 257 number ones if you only release that book in your chart, which can ignore other books because it's your number one list!!!

The same thing applies with outstanding schools, now they will all become outstanding which will mean they aren't!!

You just need to manipulate the facts to give you a good headline.

That's why I can claim to be the most consistent participant in this forum today.

Maybe they are no1 in Worcestershire!!!! Gromit.
