increased pensions coming in 2014

Mines about static ,but new pensioners will be doing well, if the papers are right.
What are you going to spend your increase on?

Swings and roundabouts though, innit?

Some like me have been hit by the "RPI to CPI swindle" on deferred pension rights, and will continue to be until we are old enough to actually receive those pensions. And of course the pension may be £2k a year or so higher for some, but they will have to wait (and work) longer to get it. And then there will be (if reported correctly) an arbitrary cut-off date (reported to be some time in 2017), so if you are unlucky enough to reach state pension age before then, you won't receive the increase. And NI contributions will go up to pay for it.

So, not a simple picture at all, as usual...
