The June 2022 edition of ASOC News will contain an article about improving the endurance of your motorhome when off-grid. It goes into some of the "urban myths" of Solar systems, with a focus on Sargents' limitations and why they are underestimated. It will explore the options available regarding additional Solar, and the practicalities of upgrading to a LiFePO4 leisure battery. The article has been written following face-to face meetings with Sargent, Auto-Sleepers and the supplier of Solar panels to the factory.

This will be the first of a short series, as more information is researched and tested. It follows the very popular series on Surge protection for your motorhome which has resulted in many members making their own surge protection additions to their hook-up cables.
