2019 New Mercedes

Hi Everyone
             I may have asked this before if so excuse me. Have anyone with the new model got a cigarette lighter socket in the top dash (Media outlet)as in the handbook or is it only part of a special order "Smokers Pack" as I am trying to getit retro fitted to my Mercedes so I can power a dash cam without wires going every where.

There is a 12 volt (cigarette lighter) socket in the bottom section of the central console. There are only two USB-C sockets in the top centre dashboard under the lid.

                 Thank you for the reply Have you looked in your MB handbook it shows a cigarette lighter socket I have a blank outlet probably the same as you just for interest do you have a jack

There are a number of websites that will provide the “build sheet” for your vehicle. The build sheet will list very item originally spec’d at the factory and fitted to the vehicle. You enter the vehicle VIN and up it pops. Have a google.

You may be better with one of the hard wire kits. Most dash cam retailers offer hard wire kits that save having wires sprouting over the dash, I have done all my cars in this way......

I assume I have the same as you.

I use the USB-C to power the satnav and the lower 12 volt socket to power the dashcam
