12v sockets Empty 12v sockets

We have just bough a Broadway EL and the 12v sockets in the Motorhome are not working although the ones on the dash are. Is there somewhere I need to switch them on ?

Control panel needs to be switched on to give power to the habitation area, they run off the leisure battery whereas the dashboard ones run off the engine battery. Habitation electrics won't work when engine is running.
