Heavy coastal sea mist and drizzle most of the night, raining now since 4 a.m, hope the hell it clears today.
Couple of Blackies attempting a sing song.
Have a nice day.

Our day started dull but dry, it's now dull and very wet. BBQ would only be possible if wearing Scuba gear  shrugg  Just have to make do withThai lemon chicken instead  look here

Thick sea fog in at dawn, everything is soaking wet, managed a good wet cliff walk with Tag, first in days.
Odd gull about and Blackies looking for food on the grass verges.
No BBQ today

After cursing you for sending the rain gods yesterday Boaby , it only rained lightly for an hour and ended up a beautifully sunny day. Bit overcast today but still breezy , not seen any midges yet this year and a little breeze sees them being  not cleared for takeoff so safe to  venture outside!

This afternoon we had a humdinger of a storm. Only a few flashes of lightning but over a hour of almost continuous rumbling thunder with several really loud bangs all followed by a cloudburst which flooded the patio. All gone now and sun back out.

The guy next door but one thought yesterday’s dry spell was a good chance to trim his hedge. That lasted as long as it took me to do a quick shop in Lidle before the rcd for the sockets tripped.  The hedge was still wet !!.
I waited until today to trim ours. It was a bit wet at the back in the shade so we left that bit until next time. It was a bit chilly but warm enough to spend the afternoon in the workshop with the door open listening to our resident male black bird arguing with a little pigeon on the bird bath.

Repeat on yesterday's weather, really thick sea fog, must have hampered any attempts to the rescue of the US pilot of the F15c that went down yesterday of the East Coast.
No survivors, tragic loss, my condolences to his family, I often watch the jets training out to sea when the sky's are clear, sometimes joined by RAF Typhoons

Another bright but chilly day here. Nice to be in the workshop with the door open again this afternoon until I had visitors.
There was a gang of starlings fighting in the bird bath, quite normal this year. Two of the daft beggars flew into the workshop and sat on the shelf screeching at each other. Not wanting to share an 8ft x 10ft workshop with them I left them whilst I made a brew. One flew out as I left the other was sat on my toolbox looking out of the window.
It had gone by the time I went back to lock up, or I think it had because I couldn’t find it. I will check later before it’s bed time for starlings.
If the weather is reasonable we might take the Rienza for a run and have lunch out this week. Can’t think were to go, maybe a run up the coast.

Must have been a shower overnight but brightening up nicely now  Boaby . I remember going on courses fir  work around Stone Staffordshire in the 80s/90s .  We wondered why all stairs and steps outside  on campus had lights built in. After 5 days constant heavy fog from morning to night we understood ! Without them  you had no clue where they were or indeed where you were !
