Weather

Yesterday afternoon the rain started in fits and starts. Early this morning it was grey and damp until I took muttly for his morning walk and it chucked it down. We were both absolutely soaked. Muttly is getting better because he let us rub him down with his towel.
I hope it brightens up a bit because we are getting a bit low on leisure battery. We have been off grid for three nights here but I think a change of batteries is due.

Not a bad day here, dry enough to get some washing out. Forecast is an improving one for most of the country, east coast might get hit with some cold winds later in the week. Wasted the day trying to fix a curtain rail, why is it the spare hooks you have are always the wrong ones 

Bit of a dull morning but dry and mild. Got caught by a rogue shower yesterday, I should have known better than trust the weatherpersons 

Looks like we have a family of bluetits visiting the garden, two adults and 4 or 5 young. The parents were getting food from the feeders and passing to the little ones in a nearby tree 

As predicted drive to Ayr was very wet on Saturday, did go to sit at beach car park for a coffee but weather and low tide meant we could hardly see the water, never mind the view. Sunday was better and stayed dry. Had a nice walk around Ayr. Just finished emptying the van as it is back to dealer this afternoon to have solar charger looked at, end of warranty period so hopefully no other problems brewing. Dull and overcast but dry and not too cold.

It was quite a cool breeze and damp with the wind off the sea this morning. We had a walk round Felbrig Hall on the way home. By the time we had lunch and set off home it was bright and sunny.
For a change the traffic was light with only a couple of tractors and a moped to hold us up until we got to Horncastle.

Lovely day here today, managed to finish getting the van ready for the hols and doing all the pre flight checks so off on Friday hopefully as long as France stays amber. Forecast the rest of this week looks good, hope it stays that way with the bank holiday coming up for all the visitors down here.

Stayed dry and warm yesterday, today the forecast temperature is predicted to hit 25°c. Unfortunately I've got a summer(ish) cold, not a great time to be out sneezing, coughing or blowing my nose

Thanks all, nice sunny morning down here again, bit of a breeze so all up a good day. Sorry about the summer cold Tony, you don't need that. Last bit of loading to do then this afternoon I have the fun job of standing by the road monitoring traffic flow for an hour for the local police. What fun, get quite a bit of verbal and rude gestures so have though about giving up helping but on our little stretch of road the accident rate has dropped enormously. In 2018 there were five deaths on that stretch and since the introduction of warning signs in 2019 there has not been a single death or serious injury so I guess it must be worth it.

Another sunny day here with a light breeze, cooler in the mornings first thing though. A strimming, blowing and mowing day today, who needs a gym!

Grey and overcast with occasional showers when I took management to have her wig trimmed coloured etc. By the time I walked muttly it’s warmer and dry if still overcast.
I waited for the call to collect management or walk back with her and she turned up at the door. This is a vast improvement but she is knackered. I can at last have some workshop time without her needing help with things at last.

Blue skies again and very little wind, cloud will build later but no rain.

Yesterday it was 27°c outside here, think it will only get to 24°c today. Unfortunately I didn't see much of it yesterday as I spent most of the day in bed   Back to something like fighting fit this morning.

First time this week we haven't had blue Skys and sunshine by late morning. Nice temperature for working outside. Just fitted one of those self sew leather steering wheel covers on the WXL as I got fed up of plastic steering wheel. Took about two hours to do properly but quick test drive says good decision. Cost about£15 on fleabay.

Quite an autumnal feel in the air the last few days …..  Despite the poor weather in May the runner beans are now cropping well, the frenchies too. Potatoes are of a good overall stamp and all salads have been well represented.
Struggled with Cucumbers and Pumpkins this year, distinct lack of female flowers and pollinators !
