Deletion of inactive accounts
Just a quick note to advise that over the next few days we will be deleting accounts that are inactive.
If you look at the 'Memberslist' tab at the top of the forum index where you log in, then where it says 'Sort by' select 'Last Visit' then 'Order' select 'Ascending' you will see more than two pages of these accounts.
These inactive accounts have been registered on the forum but never yet signed into.
We delete all these inactive accounts for the following reasons:
1) To remove any SPAM accounts.
2) These are dormant and serve no actual purpose.
3) By doing so, shows a true reflection of our actual member numbers and active users.
Some forums leave these dormant accounts as it looks like they have more members (many also hide this information) which explains why they have so many thousands of members, but it's a false representation and does very little for the credibility of the forum.
If you have signed on to the forum, or you are currently active on the forum then your account will not be effected.
I'm posting this here, as well as a notice which will go out to all members over the next few days as each time we carry out this maintenance I receive a backlash of emails from members demanding to know why their account has been deleted, this is despite them never ever signing in and using it! Therefore, If you have an account you can not access contact me for assistance.
Many Thanks

Re: Deletion of inactive accounts
I was looking at the list a week or so ago when there was the post about missing or disappeared members and noticed that on the last page (if you look at 'by last visit' ther are several accounts that state 'unknown' in the column 'last visited' including you Admin and I noticed Robbie also there, who is a frequent poster. How come there are 'unknown's' as well as 'never's'?

Surely if you post you cannot hide as you have to log on to post. How do you hide?

You can change your online presence in your profile to hidden or visible, you can still post even if hidden...
