I rediscovered this promotional video I was involved in for the National Trust Hafod y Llan campsite where I was warden for the 2010/2011 seasons...........................excuse the state of my apparel, as I was blown to bits by the usual damp and windy Snowdonia summer

The website states that cars are not allowed on the campsite (adequate parking is next to site), so I assume motorhomes are not allowed, is that correct Ian, if so what a pity?

Bran; in the time I was there many people went up on foot but were either carried down or air lifted

Paul; as we were biased towards camper vans we introduced allowing camper vans/small motorhomes to park up in the car park during off peak times for the same fee as tent campers. Providing you didn't go at Bank Holidays you would be ok as the car park is quite small and this limits the amount of customers the site can accept.

The drive down to the site off the main road does not lend itself to larger coachbuilts and you have to drive through the farm to get to the car park. There are a few flat bits in the car park and as for having a fire, providing there is one free, you could just go a claim one for the night, paying for one as you use it via the self pay envelope system in the reception area, which is how you pay for camping anyway.

It is a great site, and it was only due to politics that I left at the end of 2011, I loved being warden there
