Broadway EB 2016 12v fuses.
Hi all,
My Broadway has stopped charging the vehicle battery when plugged in at home.
I have been looking at the Broadway handbook and located the fuse panel in a cupboard near the fridge.
The fuse diagram in the handbook lists fuses 1-12 but the fuse panel has 14 fuses!
Anyone know what the correct fuse panel layout is?
All the best,
Paul

Can you confirm which model of power control system you have? Typically A/S would have been installing an EC328 (which should have 12 fuses in the front panel) at that time, but it's possible that yours may have been upgraded at the factory or, possibly, subsequently.

Its an EC500 and the fuse allocation is not as shown on the diagram.
The charger is screwed to the wall behind the combi an should display a green or red light when powered by 230v AC.
From your description I assume it is still charging the Leisure Battery? The smart charging that switches the charger between leisure and vehicle is controlled by a hidden menu on the EC500 control panel and the vehicle battery has fuses both in the EC500 and the EM(40, 45 or 50).
Before moving on, please confirm that Leisure battery is being charged.

PS I'll be in the van tomorrow so if not sorted by then I'll check fuse allocation.

Thanks very much for the advice. I am out tonight but will check what you suggest and post some pictures.

The charger is showing a green light and I can confirm that the leisure battery charges OK.
I have taken pictures of the fuse panel and the handbook fuse layout page. How do I post images on this forum please??

Re: Broadway EB 2016 12v fuses.
As Peter said, that's clearly not an EC328!
He may be able to come back to you with fuse allocations but, if you need it sooner, go onto the A/S website and look up the owner's handbooks section. You will find there a manual for a 2016 Broadway FB, which documents the EC500. The fuse allocations in that may not be 100% but they should be a good starting point.
I'm not sure why the EB manuals show an EC328 - perhaps they were made as a mix of EC328s and EC500s?

Yes, it does seem a bit odd. I have been using the handbook which came with the van. I have just been to the A/S site as you suggested, thanks you.
Oddly, it still shows an EC328 for the 2016 model as it does for the 2018 model!
Mine is clearly an EC500 as you will see from my pictures.
Maybe I need to talk to A/S.

I checked the van late afternoon but haven't had time to post my findings. I'm out early tomorrow and all day but will get back to you.

Yes - as said earlier, some vans are obviously fitted with EC328s and some with EC500s. So hopefully that diagram shows the info you need.

Re: Broadway EB 2016 12v fuses.
On the pictures below I've indicated the fuse that I believe is for the vehicle battery in the EM40 and EC500. Please note that Sargent fuse holders don't have good guides for the fuse blades so be careful when you insert fuses.
The VB connection comes via a 'converters' connection in the bottom of the B pillar and that will also be fused on the Peugeot side.

Re: Broadway EB 2016 12v fuses.
Thanks Peter.
I am coming to the conclusion that the battery is pretty much dead and may have a shorted cell.
We have only had the van since 2023 so don’t know it’s history. If it is the original battery it has done well.
I tried my battery charger on it yesterday and after a few seconds it cuts out so something clearly amiss.
Now to find out how to disconnect the multi terminal board connected to the battery positive!

Re: Broadway EB 2016 12v fuses.
Fitted a new battery today and all seems well though time will tell.
It was a bit of a struggle getting the old one out as my wife and I are getting on a bit!.
With some ingenuity we manged so that's a relief.
