Just checking in...
Hi All,
I thought it about time that I introduced myself as a courtesy if nothing else.
I have recently applied and been granted an account here for which I am grateful for many reasons not least of which is the huge amount of collective knowledge and views available re the Autosleeper marque.
I may well be outside of the scope of what is deemed acceptable membership wise - see AS owned section of my profile and if this proves to be the case then I would have to accept my account being removed.
I say this as I do not own an Autosleeper or for that matter any other MH or PVC but my wife and I are both very interested in becoming owners (and more importantly users) and we are particularly attracted to Autosleeper. So, we are and will be complete newbies to this activity.
We have two sets of friends who have experience of use of in the one case a couple of PVC's (not Autosleeper) and the second friends who have owned and used an AS Lancashire 2013 model for a number of years and we quite like the layout of the Lancashire or later Nuevo MH's. We also like the end lounge layout of the Warwick Duo too.
We have been to several dealers to look at various vans of many and varied types and marques (but all a max of 3500Kg) but are yet to see much that we consider to be in preference to an AS model.
I will explain more about our thoughts about models etc. on a new thread that I will create so as not to clutter up this thread.
All assuming I dont get removed of course.

Hi FZ. You’ve done the wise thing in joining ASOF as part of your fact finding mission and it’s not necessary to be an owner to be a member. After owning 3 AS vans, we have moved on but the good folk here let me hang around.

And you’ll be welcome but I should wait for some better weather as it’s pretty wild at the moment.FZ wrote:

Yes indeed. My friends in North Devon have been telling us too via photos of the waves at Northam burrows!
We lived in Teignmouth for almost 15 years so are no strangers to gales and heavy rain in the South West.

Hi FZ
Welcome to the forum from Bridlington , our last van was a 16 reg Warwick duo, the only reason for giving it up was ,we had decided to give up touring.
Great van imo.
