Great pictures - for those who may miss it, you have to click on 'before' and then 'after' to see the pictures.

Going back to the original post, when I contacted A/S about replacing the heater element in a Truma boiler the response was that’ our engineers are trained to replace items not repair them’.

This was mine following a similar impact a couple of years ago. Went via Derby Autohomes to a chap on the Don Amott site near Hilton. An excellent job done at a price in the region of £600-£700 (I can find details if you are interested). It was impossible to see the repair when it was finished. Recommended without reservation.

Hi there. Last year I put a hole through my Nuevo roof (tree branch) and repaired it myself with two Halfords fibreglass repair kits and a tub of body filler, oh and a piece of aluminium gauze for reinforcement. It depends on how handy you are really but its not a difficult job for someone with reasonable diy skills. A boat builer/repairer would be able to do it. I hope you get a satisfactory outcome.

Re: really black friday
A good job done by All4 near Broadway, going to get the light fixed at Willersea during the Hab check.
Took the van in at 08:30, was loaned a volvo Something 40 for use during the day, got fed up of hanging around all day so returned around 3:30 no waiting room so sat in the car, very firendly staff, bought us a cup of tea and twenty minutes latter all finished, they carred our bags and coats for me and put them in the van for us.
Total cost including VAT £645.00.
three days latter reversing sensors fitted at TVS Brent Knoll while we waited in the van, took about two hours and a very neat job done for £238.00.
Skint now, I think the light may cost about £67.00 + fitting, the light itself is fine just the outer casing damaged so if it is to expensive I might leave it .

Re: really black friday
Looks very neat - same day service and loan car also very impressive.
I think you got value for money there, considering I had something similar in 2018 on a previous Laika motorhome after an argument with a toll booth in Portugal. It cost me somewhere between £5-600 as I remember from a garage in Newton Abbot that specialised in plastic and fibreglass repairs.
Regards,

Re: really black friday
Sorry Paul, senior moment its all signs commercials Colin lane Broadway.
Hi Rocky, I was quite pleased with the price and the work done, the guy who fitted the sensors commented on how much thicker the panel was at that point and how neat it was done.
Auto sleeper wanted to replace the whole rear panel at £8000.00 I declined their offer
