A lovely bright day with a slightly chilly breeze. We didnt walk far this morning because I really dont feel like it. I only had one drink to celibrate the New Year but it wasnt very nice.
Our son bought me a box of six  sample  whiskies. Last nights was Golden Cask from the Ben Nevis distilery. It had a strong chemical smell and tasted quite acrid. It left me with an oily sensation and an odd taste this morning. 
I will try anything and not be bothered but this was not to my liking at all. The last two bottles are an Arran and an Islay. I have a bottle of Chivas Regal he bought me last year and that is in a different class so maybe a dram of that tonight.

Cool clear starlite morning,no frost , hardly a breeze,good walk with Tag ,down the cricket grounds and back.
Just as well we didn't first foot our neighbours,both sides of us have the bug flu/ COVID ??, get well soon.

Cold and frosty morning, currently -2 degrees. Looks like sky is clear 

Family get together this afternoon with my sister and her lot.last time I checked there will be eleven of us, well down from the 17 we had 20 years ago. I am now oldest and where kids used to span age range from toddler to pre teenager they are all in their 20s now. No next generation to replenish numbers yet. Alway a good time with the extended family.

Managed to get a run in the van yesterday, hundreds of people down in Falmouth for the New Years Day swim, shame some of them didn't learn to drive properly as well, really tight getting the van through in places and some oncoming drivers looked like a rabbit in the headlights when they saw us coming.
Managed a long walk and coffee which was welcome.
Colder last night, bright blue skies this morning and sunshine, boots on and a walk around the village has to be the order, daffodils are coming out thick and fast now.

Frosty and -1°c but the clear sky and sunshine is a nice change. My brother contacted me yesterday to say that he and his partner had a bad dose of flu since last Monday, his partner had just tested positive for Covid. Yes they both had all the vaccines

Cold clear starlite morning,-1 on the outside thermometer, white haw frost on all surfaces, fine to walk in though.
Rain forecasted for mid morning, should warm up.

-2 and very frosty, heating is work8ng hard this morning and rather than background warmth and feel the heat coming radiators about two to three feet away. Yesterday's frost didn't thaw so now have frost on top of frost with pavements very slippy.

Yesterday evening temp dropped to zero at 11pm but from then on steadily rose to the 6° we have right now. Very wet, rain forecast all day with a high of 12 and no lower than 7 overnight.

Raining  now and temperature up to 4 degrees, a 6degree rise in an hour. Frost completely disappeared from cars, roads and grass. Birdbath still frozen solid.

Didn't see that quick change coming

3°c and rising with bands of heavy rain tracking across the country. Too much information on your CH Bilbo, ours is still SNAFU and a large section is getting replaced but not until a week on Friday, yes the 13th 

12 degrees but heavy rain showers and not looking like much improvement. Always bad news because it is straight on the net for things you think you need, currently upgrading the existing dashcam in the car. Have Nextbase in the van so looking at 222 or 322GW, no special deals around at the moment though, seem to be about the same price everywhere.
Plenty of birds on the feeders again today.

The wind is still quite strong but the heavy rain has stopped, forecast is 25 to 45mph gusting with temperatures around the 10 degrees

Really wild outside rightvthrough last night with high winds and driving rain. Bit calmer this morning but still it's dull and wet. Supposedly it's 10°c so that's something. More rain on the way for later so I may resist getting too excited

13 degrees according to the thermometer in the yard, dry and the wind has dropped after overnight blowing hard. Overcast but a useable day, maybe get a few jobs done outside.

After a frosty night it’s bright and breezy this morning. Due to a mis communication with management I had to walk back from dropping the Rienza at the garage and it actually seemed warmer than I thought it would be. I only had my fleece on rather than my big coat and had to un zip it before I got home.

Dry milder starlite morning,big moon ,so plenty of light good walk with Tag, down and along the north promanard,back in for porridge.

Bit dull but dry just now and 7°c. Forecast is for more rain and high winds later, how much hits us on it's way north is anybodies guess. We're out for the shopping this morning, hopefully we'll get it done before the nasties arrive.

Cornish mizzle this morning, 13 degrees though so mild and not much breeze. Dropped the car for a service and then a walk back to home, doing the reverse later so hope it stays dry. Very quiet around the village probably only saw half a dozen cars moving. Christmas trees down today so a clambering in the loft for me.

A very clear moonlit night with plenty of stars showing , no rain and a clear sky, the wind has dropped and it’s forecast to reach 8degrees around dinner time

Strong winds overnight, due to continue until lunchtime. Sitting watching full moon dropping down towards Grampian Mountains, clear sky with light wispy cloud. Forecast 8 degrees by lunchtime and 6 by teatime

A bright but chilly day here. Hopefully it will be a quiet day after a week of things to do most days. I was all set to walk round to our sons for a delivery but that’s been canceled.

When we were in Tesco yesterday a guy (about 30ish) sneezed twice right in front of me, no attempt to cover his face 

Last evening was wild again with heavy rain and stong winds blowing right through into this morning. Still very wet at 7°c. Forecast to dry up later this morning for a while until more wind and rain sweeps in this evening.

Dry with light cloud for the early shop today (dark on the outbound leg), light wind so out to blow around the place outside, Rain is on the way I think so after lunch and the obligatory siesta might start getting a few things out ready for our upcoming holidays.
