-4, good frost, staying in the minuses all day.

Tropical 3 degrees in the toe of the UK, little rain overnight but no frost. Skies are overcast but it is dry so a good day for getting outside and clearing the mess the tree surgeons left.

Several inches of sleet and snow through out yesterday afternoon and night leaving the local roads and paths with a covering of solid ice.
Brief walk with Tag, thank heavens for Yak-tracks ,great for walking in these conditions.

+1 but with stronger north wind than of late so windchill making it feel colder. Vehicles have only light covering of frost. We seem to be on northern edge of latest weather warning for snow tomorrow having been on southern edge of last one. Been lucky so far and avoided worst of it

-4 and good frost covering here. Hopefully according to forecasts, tonight will be last freezing before Christmas   temps Monday/Tuesday up to +13.

Brighter than yesterday here and it looks like there’s been a light dusting of snow overnight. Not that I mind not having snow but it seems we have our own weather system here. As I have said before it seems to only get bad here if the weather is directly from the east. We have the Yorkshire wolds to the North of us and to South and West we have the Lincolnshire Wolds that seem to shelter us. 
Coming from a village in the Pennines East of Manchester this a complete opposite because we used to get any weather from the west mostly wet hence the cotton industry. In the winter the sun was gone by two in the afternoon if it wasn’t raining.

Up to a heady -5°c this morning, still got a heavy frost and it feels very cold. The forecast for tomorrow is for it to get warmer but with a fall of snow from the west. They reckon the cold weather will return in the North next week.

Today's plan is to get some shopping so the car needs to be defrosted first.

2 degrees down here, no frost, off to the big City of Truro this morning so I am told. Suffering from shock, Mercedes rang yesterday and said the car is ready for collection, expecting it to take months and it was done in four days! Even though it is 14 years old the cost was NOTHING as it has a 30 year corrosion warranty. Well happy with that so box of wine and candies all round in the workshop today!

Snow has turned to deep slush, it will freeze solid overnight making foot paths hellish.

Whilst I was n the workshop this afternoon the frost on the garden and shed roof thawed but the wheelie bin lid was frozen shut at half seven. The paths are like glass so tonight’s muttly walk might be a challenge. 

Take it easy up there guys, no broken bones for Christmas please!

Snowing heavily at 7am but stopped now, more forecast later. Main road out front still black so just our street will be challenge unless we are on a gritter run today.

-4 and still very frosty but the snow seems to have bypassed us for now, looks like it's hit the central belt northwards. Guess we could still get some as they have an amber snow warning for us until lunchtime. 

So, how many of you get your breakfast delivered by Deliveroo? My nephew was clearing rubbish outside his house and found a receipt, from the company dropped by a neighbour, for a cup of tea and two slices of toast.

Dry sunny morning with a light frost, back from the early shop, twice as many people in the supermarket, must have been at least a dozen people plus the pickers.
4 degrees now and looks good, possibly take the van for a little run later.

Surprising how quickly things can change, now overcast with light rain and 3°c.

Dropped to -6  overnight  but -3  now. Tonight only dropping to -1 forecast.

It felt warmer in the sun this morning on our walk but in the shade at the garden centre when we picked up our tree is was very chilly. 
We sat looking across the Humber whilst we had butties for lunch. It looked very festive with the frost still on the beach and the bushes in the dunes. The water temperature must have kept things frozen. I certainly didn’t fancy a paddle . 

Started snowing at lunchtime and stopped about 40 minutes ago.  Just been out to clear the drive and snow about 2 inches deep. Management has to go the mile into town to help at a Rainbow's Christmas party. Means I get the house to myself for a couple of hours and can prepare tea in peace. Just started mince for cottage pie.

Our daughters partner was saying they had to call out the contract grittier team to the refinery were he is working at 0200 when the tempreture dropped to a pre arranged level. You would think they would grit earlier in the night. 

Really cold -3 , starlite morning,no wind , icey conditions underfoot, main roads cleared,no gritters on the side roads,not a priority.
Short walk with Tag,back in for porridge.

-1 andclear sky with light wind. Management and daughter no2 going to some dancing show by ex Strictly professionals at SEC in Glasgow tonight so WXL getting  a run out, I drive to daughters house then she drives the rest of the way, allows them toilet and kitchen. Food request for their meal was sausage roll from our butcher, simple enough with some bottled water, tatties and peas, small bottle of milk and some tea and coffee. Provisioning van will take about 5 minutes. Been out and connected ehu so heating now on and fridge probably warming up to 4 degrees. I get to house sit at at daughters until about 11.30 tonight then drive the hour home.

A heavy frost here over night -3 at the moment but clear sky so should warm a little once the sun is a little higher in the sky

Now up to 3°c here and the ice has gone after overnight rain. Dry just now but there are black clouds on the horizon and a forecast for more rain later which might turn to sleet in some areas.
