Re: hab door won't lock remotely
When I had this problem a wire to the contacts had come adrift. The wires were quite short but I managed
to re solder it. If you pull the contacts carefully away from the door you should be able to see if this is the problem.
There are previous notes on this problem.

Thanks. I'll keep trying that. It might free up the mechanical linkages in the door sufficiently for the solenoid to do its stuff. It would be good to get at the mechanical linkages but I have no idea how to do it.Caslon wrote:I had the same problem as you, central locking on the hab door would not lock the door, it turned out when I left the van I locked it using central locking, but when a friend came back to the van used the manual key and it stopped working, by locking the van using the key and unlocking several times moving the key to left and right, it started working again on central locking.

I put insulation tape over the door contacts, as the doors would unlock and lock whenever it felt like it, a real treat at night as all the lights came on. The two computers systems ( Habitation and vehicle) wouldn’t work together. Caused much head scratching for sometime by one and all . Now use a key to lock the habitation door. No problem.

Re: hab door wont lock remotely
My door failed this week. I found a broken cable on the door contacts, repaired it and all worked fine again. Guess I put it back the wrong way up, locking the remote locked the cab and unlocked habitation and vice versa, reversing the contacts fixed it.

I wish mine was a simple as that. Electrical contact is definitely being made as I can hear the locking and unlocking inside the door but it’s not locking or unlocking it. I can only do that manually now. I want to access the lock on the door to see what’s going on but don’t know how to.
