A dry and fairly bright start to the day here but the breeze is quite cool. Our Ring Neck Dove pair and the male black bird were wandering round the garden first thing. Muttly didn’t bother them at all. They just walk round him. He has never been a bird chaser unlike our last dog. She was a Terrier type muttly. The sparrow squadron seems to have dwindled a bit.
Muttly walking will be nice without needing a coat for a change.
Shopping and packing for our weekend away today. We havnt done a Sainsbury’s shop since lock down. It will seem strange being able to walk between the shelves at the correct distance apart. It’s too small in Lidle to easily keep apart .Waiting to get to the shelf you want has become the normal.

Overcast and hot, no on shore sea breeze to cool things down , lots of birds feeding young, dozens of cats storking them.
Have a nice day.

A bright if overcast day here in Bedfordshire and it’s getting quite warm. If this keeps up it will be nice sitting outside watching the air show. Maybe the legs might come out for some air.
We spent the afternoon yesterday walking around the gardens at Wrest Park. It was warm enough for bare legs then. Sadly last years Aussie tan has worn off so its back to white blighty legs for now. From what I have seen wandering round the camp site this morning some people should not be allowed out in public with so much white flesh exposed.hugegrins

I know the daffodils come out here in December so everything happens sooner in Poldarkland but is it really Autumn already, trees are shedding their leaves so soon! Damp this morning in West Cornwall but a reasonable afternoon and warm. wave

Still pleasantly warm up here. We got caught in a mini punch up between two dogs yesterday when walking yesterday, border collie had a nip at a mongrel. Neither on the lead and buffy owners blaming each other. On the plus side, saw a whole lot of Blackcaps and Bulfinches with young.

Beautiful morning, clear blue skies, avoiding the emmets so hedge cutting today. Rule is work in the mornings, after lunch it is siesta time so bring out the chairbeds, evening either a walk round the local village or whatever we fancy. Miss those long beach walks but unlikely to be doing them again until the tourists go home. Enjoy your day everyone allthumbz

As the sun is strong, experimenting with peroxide today to whiten the yellowing plastic bits on the van, starting with an old smoke alarm before risking it on the Worcester!

There were loads of blackcaps in the trees next to the cycle path, the bushes are covered in brambles so loads to eat. We used to have a pair of bullfinches come into the garden but they disappeared. The pair we saw yesterday were feeding a youngster. Also saw a small tortoiseshell butterfly, first I've seen in years

We have a cereal  Malting drying plant near here, it has expanded over the years and the Doos have multiplied 10 fold, not enough Perigee Falcons around to thin them out, the Sparrowhawks only get the wee birds, another reason we have stopped the bird feeders.
Turned out warm outside, clear blue skies ,
Have a nice day.

We have problems with the pigeons but the wee birds do ok. Biggest issue is the wee birds are picky and chuck the seeds they don't want on the ground and the doos pick it up. My wife has had to dig out sunflowers and grass growing under the feeders.

BBQed for the last three days, weather has been mostly dry so no complaints.

Another lovely day here, not sure what they are as they are very high but quite a few swifts/swallows/martins gathering in the afternoons, I guess getting ready for the long flight south. I know some are swifts by the shape but not sure of others or which are more common. Two buzzards wheeling low above us today as well, see them every day but not usually so low, so graceful.

Saw some Buzzards shrugg We've moved on to Blair Drummond, hope to see some non-safari park wildlife rolleyes Got the Wagyu burgers done on the BBQ without any interference from the rain. Feels much cooler and the weather looks like it's a bit of everything over the next few days.

Clear blue skies again in Cornwall this morning, new bed arriving today then off for a haircut later, first haircut since last September! I was accused of looking like one of the yardbirds the other day.

Don't do bbq's here as Lady G doesn't eat red meat, been the same since I tried to show her how to make a burger from scratch......

Scratch was a stupid name for a cat anyway. snigger

Mild, overcast and no wind, hopefully clear later.
Went to see the Yardbirds , along with Hermins Hermits back in the mid sixties , couldn't hear a song due to the girls screaming.
Have a nice day.

Been pouring down here since the early hours with no let up. On the plus side, it seems to have encouraged a large number of folk to go home  snigger Yesterday was a scorcher, almost got mowed down by a brown hare, it did a roadrunner type halt, turned and ran back into the undergrowth  hugegrins
