Been there, done that, got wet!!
Only ours was a Topaz T4 2004 towing an Up!
who had already been out 6wks. Nice gent with some good stories, but no interest in the digital age.
We did have plenty of sun though over our B/H tour, which also brought out the hoards. 
Did well over 1k miles with places like North Ledaig, Bunree, Morvich, Tain ( Old School House)  Crofters Snug near May (great exposure) John o Groats (smart & tidy now) Invergordon (home of the worlds Strongest men) then Ayr on way home.

We had planned to go down the west coast via Ayr And Tebay Ricky,but decide to go back down via Spital, we’ve been out for over 6 weeks too.
No A/S vans here.
