Tipping down with rain this morning, looks like the end of working outdoors for this week.

Have a good day

Lot of early rain but we woke up to bright sunshine and a blue sky. It's now solid grey and the rain is back on, looks like that sort of day ahead. All change with storm Dudley hitting us later today, with another on the way for  few days time.

Keep safe folks  up!

Lots of rain overnight but quite peaceful just now, forecast keeps changing, two day ago we were on northern edge of amber wind warning for today, now showing bit breezy this afternoon, hopefully the two named storms for this week have lost their bite and things are less than expected.

Take care whatever the wind does with you today

Quite calm now but we had a pretty noisy night with high winds and driving rain. Dull and grey now so I think there's more to come. Forecast suggesting high winds later today through to Thursday morning, then more again on Friday and Sunday.

It wasn’t too bad on our morning walk with a bit of a breeze but dry. On the way to Barton late morning the wind had started to pick up. After lunch we managed a short walk before the rain started.
I think storm Dudley is here now but being on the east side of the country it’s not too bad.

Same as here but Dudley has arrived just now and sounds pretty rough already.

Dry initially, when I went to replace 4 tyres but by 10:00 the rain had arrived. Continued until 18:00, with force 6 westerly.  It's Friday I'm concerned about.  Fortunately contractors came on Monday with an amazing 33 metres telescopic platform on caterpillar tracks to cut down (from the top) 2 brittle dead ash trees o n higher land (not ours) behind the house. Can sleep easier now.

overgale night showers have cleared, strong mild gales have dried up the area,a lot  of fallen tree branches and dead wheelie bins laying around.
However managed a good walk out with Tag, not many fishing boats heading out this morning.
As you say crymo the worst is yet to hit us, my son in Inveraray says it's rough up there lots of beech trees down.
Have a nice day,stay safe.

Windy night but feel we got of lightly this far north. However several local roads were closed last night due to falling trees, including one lane northbound on A90 where several trees at Happas (highest point between Dundee and Forfar) have been looking dodgy since last storms. Did notice work crews out starting to work on them in recent days. Local golf club has had over 700 trees blown down so far this year so that may increase this week.

Take care and stay safe

Wild windy night, found it hard to get a decent sleep because of the noise. Started about teatime and only calmed a bit a few hours ago. Sunny and dry now but we all know there's more to come.

Good luck folks.

Rough night but not as bad as some recent storms. Dry and calm now, sun and blue sky with  scattering of light clouds. Eunice is forecast as hitting us harder.

Heavy snow fall since about 5.30. Already about an inch deep on the ground. At least we don't have the wind this far north today.

Stay safe everyone

No wind here yet, we've got a light scattering of snow but the dark sky suggests there's more on the way.

Keep safe folks

Just dared to venture forth. The gusts are truly frightening. Sadly, some of the wooden vertical fenceposts holding up our side fence have snapped at base, and 10 of the 6' wide panels and their posts are swaying in the storm. Have roped some posts to nearby structure. Posts are inset in a low stone wall, so replacing that lot with concrete posts into the wall and new panels is going to be costly.... It'll have to be done soon because the adjacent track is used by neighbours and for oil deliveries, so can't allow fence to block it.

But we're OK, which is the main thing, of course.

It was a bit cold and breezy with rain starting as we walked this morning. It must have rained hard last night because the puddles were quite deep.
It’s rained on and off all morning and wind is picking up now. The Humber Bridge will be closed from 1330 today so it looks like the worst will be here this afternoon. Maybe a good idea to shut myself in the workshop and turn the heater on.cold

I suspect Cymro has had it worse than us as the South Coast of Cornwall is mostly just outside the red zone. We've had some big gusts of wind but, in all honesty, it’s not been too bad. It’s easing now.

Our corner of Anglesey OK so far, not sure if I'm seeing the odd snow flake in this last shower. Reading reports of roofs flying off in Cardiff area. 'Things' can be replaced people can't. Cymerwch ofal  (take care) Cymro and everyone else in the thick of it.

Winds ramping up again , neighbours trampoline went airborne earlier, fortunately it headed away from us.
Great entertainment watching the commercial airliners trying to land at some airports on the news channels. Code brown.
