I use one of these:

It's compact and not too heavy and very easy and quick to put on and take off.

Re: Wheel (tyre) Lock
Monster clamps are no doubt the hardest to defeat and they would be my choice if I only intended to use the clamp at home i.e. not take it away with me. As it is, I travel with the clamp so for practical purposes use one that is lighter and smaller even though it might be less effective.Molly3 wrote:Bulldog , insurance recommended but a monster of a clamp

Re: Wheel (tyre) Lock
The Milenco Compact (above) is Sold Secure Gold , so also insurance approved.

I doesn't say this wheel clamp is Sold Secure on Milenco Website
I think you have got it mixed up with the Compact C Clamp for caravans

"The Compact Wheelclamp is easy to fit and is insurance approved, fits all Caravan and Motorhome wheels from 12" to 16" and 145 to 225 size tyres. Fits both Steel and Alloy wheels."
You are correct that it doesn't say sold secure, but insurance approved, whatever that means.

Re: Wheel (tyre) Lock
I bought a thirty pound wheel lock from Go Outdoors as an added safety measure when parked on my drive.lucasg wrote:I’m thinking of buying a wheel lock for a tyre on my Bourton.. anybody with one who can recommend please?
I can testify that it works as I have twice forgotten to remove it before attempting to drive away and been left motionless both times although I think it might be done for now.
It might not deter determined thieves but useful in conjunction with other measures.

Re: Wheel (tyre) Lock
The effectiveness of a wheel lock is gauged by the time it takes a thief to remove it and not by its ability to stop a vehicle being driven which all will do.mcalid wrote:I bought a thirty pound wheel lock from Go Outdoors as an added safety measure when parked on my drive.lucasg wrote:I’m thinking of buying a wheel lock for a tyre on my Bourton.. anybody with one who can recommend please?

Wheel Lock for Bourton 2015 model
Thanks for all the replies..having researched this ad nauseam..I contacted Milenco..this is what they have recommended for tyre 235/65 R 16C 115/113 R
We'd recommend the M16+ Original wheelclamp. This is the only product that will be suitable for your wheel and tyre.

Re: Wheel (tyre) Lock
I use the "Compact" on my van with the same size wheel/tyres as you quote. Works fine and easily stored.
