Garmin BC30 REVERSING CAMERA.

My garmin bc30 is displaying upside-down.  I  have tried to find a fix but can't find anything that works, so look like having to replace it.  SMC at Newark want to charge £ 360 for fitting alone. So I have a few questions 
1. Does anyone know where autosleeper hid the wireless transmitter for this unit, so I can perhaps try and replace this to resolve the issue. 
2. Does anyone know anyone in the Nort Derbyshire/ South Yorkshire area ( or a bit beyond) who could fit a new unit for less than £360.

Is there an image of what is behind, can you rotate the camera, looking at the design of the camera you should be able to rotate the camera in its mounting bracket

The camera is wedged in tight. There is some sort of filler / sealant all round the cable. I was worried that if I tried to rotate it, the filler would be disturbed causing possible water ingress or cause the cable to be pulled from the camera. There is no give in the cable.

The camera is the right way up, somewhere on the device your using is a setting for reversing image I would see if altering this makes any difference, if not contact garmin as they have a good customer service department,

Yeah, already done that. That's why they offered a replacement as no settings to change.  It was working perfectly fine for two years, then had suddenly changed.

If it’s got to come out to be changed I would then try to remove the sealant and turn the camera around there will be some slack once the sealant is removed, just reseal after.

Have you removed the rear light covers to see if the feed to the camera is from there ,if so it would be pretty straight forward to replace

I've looked in the reversing camera (underneath from the back) and can see various cables but can't identify which are for the garnin, or where they go to connect to the wireless transmitter.

Reverse light I mean.

See if you can find out how long the connecting cables are from camera to transmitter , that will give you a distance from the camera  to look

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't know where the transmitter is.

I've looked under the vehicle, in the engine compartment and in every cupboard, no sign of it.

I get you now, see what it says in the instructions and try and work back.

With it been wireless ,the transmitter will be at the back of the van not the front

Thanks I'll have a look,  though as it was factory fitted by AS, could have used their own cabling. Awaiting a reply from AS re possible location.

Our transmitter in the Bourton is directly behind the camera in the back of the overhead locker over the kitchen.

Ok thanks, in ours it's an overbed locker. Nothing obvious in there. Suppose it could be behind the bed headboard a bit further down.

Try deleting the Bluetooth connection the re establishing it. It worked for me a few years ago. It took quite a while talking to diffeent Garmin technical support people before one of them suggested disconnecting the Bluetooth connection.

Mines did a similar thing where the image was flipped horizontally as opposed to upside down. Turned out to be a faulty camera.Got it replaced under Garmin warranty, but they request the old one back before sending a replacement. I have an end kitchen 2018 Broadway and the transmitter is located in the locker above the cooker. The transmitter is only about 50mm2. All the slack cable is located behind the high level brake light cover. It's all tied up and secured with a blob of mastic. You need to unscrew the brake light and then gently prise the cover away from the rear bodywork. It's secured with a run of mastic and just needs a bit of patience to remove.

Just to add that my image was the the same upside down. It made reversing interesting for a while.

What do you mean by disconnecting the Bluetooth.  Do you mean just unplugging the cable from the 12v socket to the garmin satnav?

I have unpaired and re-paired and that didn't work  via the garmin satnav.
