Night heating.
During these cold nights, while we are out touring in the van, I keep the heating set to 15° at night. With 2 leisure batteries the fan is not too demanding and gasit means we have plenty of resources. What do you do?

I just use a small electric radiator. Keeps the chill off. Don't know what temperature it is as I only have a 2006 van. Suits me fine.

No heating on during bed time, an extra cover or two if very cold but I tend to find once I’m under the douve .... I’m snug as a bug

At York now, cold last night so used small oil filled radiator on lowest setting. On way home from Spain we set Truma at 12C and it keeps us very warm.

I used the small night heater a couple of weeks ago I had to turn it off after 15mins as van got too hot I don’t think we will ever use the main heater it’s just overkill

This thread was started back in February when conditions were a tad chillier than now. Maybe that’s the difference.

Not much worse than here this morning, only 16 degrees. Raining again now, strong winds last night and heavy rain during night.burlingtonboaby wrote:Our wee baby oil filled radiator is on .drying of dog towels and wet trainers, it's 14 degrees here in Ayr and dreich.

Leaving tomorrow for Lidalia, then on to Elie on the Fife coast. Better pack a brolly and waders. Any symptoms of trench foot yet BB?

Misty in Lidalia first thing. Glorious on the road over the tops to Langholm. Wonderful drive on the B703 from there. Walked along Elie's sea front in broad sunshine. Took a pint in the beach bar of our home for the next 3 days.

Enjoy Fife Andy, we loved the coast line when we live in west Fife, hope the Ayr site has dried out for you.

Thanks
We have the van parked right outside the Ship Inn, had a great breakfast and lots of mooching round Elie today to counter the long drives. Light cloud but no rain.
