Thanks Kaspian, still wet yet.

Wish I had used the wellies Boaby, went for a stroll to The Smiddy for a coffee. Didn't get one as current restrictions presented too much of a hassle. Might take a while to dry the apparel shrugg Did spot a whole lot of tiny toads in the woods, guess they were happy about the rain.

Dry mild sunrise, still damp from yesterday's showers.  Moisture on the windows
Dawn chorus has died down to a few finches singing and gulls mobbing you as you walk along the coast.

Overnight showers, mild windless dawn, rain forecasted throughout the day, wellies on this morning, really wet underfoot on the coastal path.
Lots of young gulls out ,getting mobbed again by adults.
Have a nice day.

Just had a photo of Bridlington on the BBC weather, looks a bit grey like here. The gulls are blinking pests, they usually get fed at the local high schools about a mile away. Since they've been closed the noisy bandits are taking what they can get around the gardens.

Need to get the water pistol out hugegrins

Grey damp and dismal down here today, not much chance of getting out to do a lot but at least it will stop the emmets running amok. Love them really, well the sensible ones anyway. allthumbz

Management suggested we go out for a picnic for our anniversary lunch. The forecast said showers at lunch time also I was waiting for the post person  so we didn’t bother.
Late afternoon it started thundering and chucked it down. It has rained hard most of the evening, Noah type rain.
If this had happened last weekend at the drive in air show it would have been made things rather soggy. We went to flying proms in the rain meany years ago. It was a case of we are British, we have paid so sod the rain.
Muttly has problems with his back legs but if it’s raining we can’t get him in. It seems to make him all silly. Of coarse this is followed by a fight with the towel and a biscuit. sit

Looks like a nice day here but showers forecast so outside activities may be curtailed. Got a couple of little (as our US cousins like to call them) projects to do, so we'll see. We got "mugged" yesterday, my wife filled up all the bird feeders with seeds, nuts and fat balls when we got home on Friday. A flock of 50ish stuckies (starlings) cleared the lot in about 30 minutes shrugg

What a different morning. It’s bright and sunny now. I certainly won’t need to water the hanging baskets tonight. They are are flattened down after last nights rain.
When the Rienza is parked at home we leave the bathroom vent open. Being a wet room I thought it won’t matter if a bit of rain gets in. During our post trip bathroom clean I put the toilet roll on the sink when I wiped the walls down. Now we have a soggy toilet roll. No matter if that’s the only damp problems I can cope with that.

Better at 0600 than it is now, too nice too early as we say! Decided not to take the van to the beach for the usual Sunday walk but go to the tip instead as our trailer is now bursting with hedge cuttings! No real dawn chorus but plenty of noise from the local donkey (that's not Lady G) allthumbz

Lots of young Swifts,Martins and Swallows feeding on the abundance of bugs in the air.

Grim here. Nearly 8 am and we still have lights on. Heavy rain, lowering skies, windy and cold. If we had a fire we’d light it.

Not sure I’d bank on that ! We had a brief glimpse of the sun earlier but it didn’t last long enough for my husband to see it. A strong wind too. I could swear I’ve just seen a sparrow flying backwards.
