Replacement interior wood Empty Replacement interior wood

hi, has anyone order spare wood from the factory, I want to add some extra shelving, it’s hard to find replacements on the web.

I’ve looked for posts about this because I’m sure the question has been posted on this site.

We’ve not bought any from AS but have used lenths of laminate flooring from Homebase or B&Q and got a pretty well exact match with the woodwork in our 2014 Broadway. Even better, the pieces we used were free as they were samples which were there for the taking as the laminate had been chipped at the end edges.

For our last van, which had a blonder, cherry wood, we bought a couple of skirting board infill lengths from Homebase’s kitchen range. They were in the sale and an absolutely exact match.

We did ask AS how much additional shelves would cost when we bought the van but, at £180 each, decided on diy.

They really ought to go on the stage!

If they can crack jokes like that they would be a smash hit at the Palladium!  Whistle1

I made some for friends and they insisted on paying me. I insisted even more strongly that I couldn't charge them, as a tenner a shelf would have been too much to ask. It must be one of the simplest jobs one could ever tackle!!

I want to make a worktop extension and want the same off-white colour and texture so bought a coffee table top as fitted to the back doors of Warwicks/Sussex from AS. Cost me £38 collected. (Must get it done).

Yes I’ve been to B&Q..I’ve made shelves where the colour match doesn’t really matter but I was hoping to get a better match for a couple of small shelves.

£180:00 wow that’s painfully not funny!
I’ll give th3m a call on Mon see what they say.

To be fair; this was for the shelves fitted and finished but it was only for small, internal locker shelves. Even the dealer thought it was a silly price and they are conditioned to add extra noughts.

Yes I have purchased wood to match interior décor direct from AS.  They supplied me a length of suitable thickness and the iron-on finishing strip for the edges.  Because I planned to cut it to shape (rather than AS cut it according to specific drawings) the price seemed quite reasonable.
