Saving weight. . Empty Saving weight. .

Post by Mrs ploppy Mon Jan 05, 2015 2:49 pm

Hi we a have a 2013 nuevo end kitchen, and with two light bikes on the back we are over weight on the rear axle I can remove the rear steddies saving about 12 kilo,
Do all auto sleepers have steddies fitted and do most Motorhome owners use thee
Thanks

We have them but rarely use them. Swmbo wants them down whenever we night stop but I have managed not to bother most of the time Whistle1

I had them on my Bourton but after checking with A/S that it was ok to remove them without affecting the build integrity I removed them as I have never used them on any of the vans I have owned.

Hi. My 2006 Nuevo ES does not have rear stabilisers. The first thing I did to save weight when I first got the van was to change the ridiculously heavy ladder for a light weight aluminium one. This only applies to the ES though.

I leave the ladder at home. We had our Nuevo ES weighed at a show last year and were nowhere near our weight limit but having bikes on the back may make all the difference to rear axle load.
