She's only gone and done it again............

SWMBO, has gone and got us a job interview on Wednesday as Assistant Wardens AGAIN  

Blooming Scotland this time.....................ahh well makes a change from Wales I suppose and at least from there on our days off we can continue to visit those places we haven't done on our trip yet   

Won't mention where just yet in case we don't get the job.!

Once once bitten twice shy I thought TD 

Wow Ian, you are well up for this travelling lark aren't you.  

The terms and conditions of this one are more in our favour with the option to do more if and when we want unlike the 55-60 hours we did last time.

Brad, to our friends and family we are known as "The Nomads" which is kind of cool !!!

Could be more than once bitten twice shy if those Scottish midges get at you !! 

Once visited a National park in Co Donegal. They actually had a display about midges in their visitor centre.

They regarded the midge almost as a feature of the park.  


Best of luck with the interview, and stock up with the Avon skin so soft.

Yes, the one in the Aqua coloured bottle.  

We are quite accustomed to dealing with midges having spent 2 years working for The National Trust at a small campsite at the foot of Snowdon near Beddgelert, but do appreciate that the Scottish Midge is a damn sight harder than the Welsh Midge 

Too be honest the midges didn't really affect me too much which I put down to eating copious amounts of Marmite and drinking plenty of "Morgans Spiced Rum". While campers were dressed up with head nets, gloves and everything tucked in with no skin on show, I used to meander through the site in T shirt and shorts wondering what all the fuss was about

YES we got the job     ...........................but declined as there were too many issues from a wardens perspective  

A lovely site with lovely wardens, we would have worked well together but having spent all last year faffing about with unreliable systems we were loathed to walk into a job with all that again no matter how good a position it was in.  

We have actually applied to be Caravan Club Assistant Wardens (before applying for the above) and have passed the initial stage, just waiting for the next available assessment/interview day which will probably be in March so watch this space..............
