When does the better weather start?

My van is newly serviced, tested, taxed and ready to go.
Why have I posted this on Grumpy Old Men?
I'm sat at the computer looking at the van on the drive with around a foot of snow covering it and wondering when will we be able to get away.
I should be planning trips but don't know when. It's still snowing and as soon as the snow thaws it will flood.
My thoughts are with those with no power and farmers whose livestock are freezing to death under snowdrifts.
Loads of people worse off than me but maybe it helps to have a moan.

My sentiments as well. Does you good to have a moan. It's snowing again here, as if we haven't had enough. And then my sister rings from Southampton to ask me how we doing with the snow and to tell me the sun is shining there, do I care - no!

Summer starts at 0030 on April 3rd when the DFDS Dover to Calais ferry sails!!!!

We will probably have to tackle snow, hailstorms, rain and gales to get there but the South of France just has to be better than here - doesn't it??
