Re: Xmas presents
Agreed ........... except there wouldn't be any room in "Petal" if we had to carry real books with us! I bought my Kindle around June last year and I now have 175 "archived" (i.e. those I have read) and 25 more ready to go. In a similar period Helen has read another 30 or so on her iPad!
That's why we have them.
NOT off topic a quote from Morecambe and Wise:
Ernie - "Have you got the scrolls?"
Eric - "No. I always walk this way!"
Best regards,
Ian

Had all good intentions of using the iPad for reading when on my travels - and take a paperback!

to be honest
Its an age thing and kids wouldn't understand.
They'd be lost without their IPhone and IPod plugged into their ears &are so busy texting, they'll soon lose the ability to speak!

Some of the language I hear from the younger generation nowadays, that might be a good thing. I was taught that swearing only made up for a lack of vocabulary and that seems to be about right.
