DVLA change of bank details.

I’ve just gone through the tedious job of changing all my outgoing direct debits to a new bank account. Every single one was a relatively simple process with the exception of the DVLA.
I’ve now given up!!! If anyone has been through this with the DVLA, advice would be greatly appreciated 

I thought if you used the  'switch' system of changing banks it did all the work of DDs etc for you.

However, I didn’t actually want to close the old long standing account (which is what would have happened with the switch) so I used an old unused current account in the switch process.
To cut a long story short I wanted to set up a separate outgoing “bills account” and First Direct were giving £175 away for me to do exactly that!
