Hello all!…..New to this…… just bought a Fairford. I guess a typical recent retiree profile for us. I was an airline pilot and am looking forward to never travelling on an aeroplane again! The whole industry travel process has become positively zoological with the intrusive packing and processing of passengers like beans on a conveyor. I am looking forward to going to places of our choosing in our own time. My most favourite place ( and I’ve been to most) is the South of France..

Your reasons for choosing a motorhome are similar to ours. My wife and I both spent much of our working lives in airports & planes, hotels, etc (although clearly not as much as you!). So for us, that type of travel was not enjoyable as a holiday, so we bought our first campervan over thirty years ago and enjoyed many relaxed seaside type holidays with our daughter and subsequently just the two of us.

I am sure you'll enjoy the freedom your Fairford will bring. France is especially welcoming to 'camping cars'; if you're planning on using sites I recommend you look at ACSI discount card membership.
