Hi. We are both retired and have owned our Duetto for 6 or 7 years. We travel extensively, both in the UK and Europe, a mix of off-grid, aires, CL/CS and small sites. Since purchase we've made a number of changes to the original spec:

  • Fitted 100W solar panel with Victron SmartSolar MPPT 75/ 10 controller
  • Added bluetooth battery monitors to both batteries
  • Removed TV aerial (never used)
  • Removed flourescent tubes and repladed with LED lights in the original fittings, throughout
  • Fitted Fiamma Carry-Bike 200 DJ bike rack
  • Converted void behind the blanking plate under the wardrobe into a small but useful storage space by adding magnets to the rear of the panel
  • Replaced the Calor Propane 6kg and 3.9kg with refillable replacements and a gas locker door-mounted fill point

Always happy to pass on advice based on what we've learned!

wave Hi and welcome to the forum from another Ford owner including a Duetto in the past. Ours served us well as a first van but sadly as the milage stacked up and rust was progressing beyond financial sense.
Had we found a newer Duetto I agree with your improvements.
