Moran Motorhomes
Strong recommendation for this dealer. Small family firm dealing just with Autosleepers and Burstner, and with a personal service. Nothing is too much trouble, and they sort out known issues such as solar charging and water pump before handover. Very knowledgeable staff, led by owner Roger Moran, and the after-sales service is brilliant.
Worth the journey - Ludlow is nice too!

I believe they replace submersible pumps with Shurflos before they hand over to avoid later problems.

That's correct Paul. Few other small things as well - all without asking.
One or two small issues arose after a couple of trips, and they were rectified quickly under warranty.

Re: Moran Motorhomes
This has just been posted on a FB Auto-Sleeper group......
"Interesting email I have just received from Moran Motorhomes in Ludlow - wonderful dealers who I can’t recommend highly enough. They are currently picking up (at their own expense) all the niggly little warranty issues on our ‘22 Broadway which AutoSleepers themselves are ducking out of addressing ….
“I should inform you that Moran Motorhomes Ltd have taken the decision not to continue with Auto-Sleepers into the 2024 season. This has been arrived at for many reasons and is a very sad decision for us, since we have had a very long and successful association with the brand. However, times change and we must look to the future. We are, of course, here to support our existing Auto-Sleeper customers, such as yourself, and will still be able to conduct the annual habitation check and undertake warranty work (relating to our direct customers) for this brand.”

Re: Moran Motorhomes
Just had similar with the Toyota dealer we have dealt with in Tayside for over 30 years, but they have been dumped by Toyota in favour of a national outfit, we will be sticking with the local family run outfit who know us by name and have our trust for both purchase and servicing of our cars. Happily their Perth operation has a large moho rental operation and they recently took on Adria franchise and they are happy to service and do hab checks etc on our WXL

Re: Moran Motorhomes
This is surprising and disappointing news.
Roger has a very small setup, and limited space, only offering AS and Burstner. I wonder if his AS margins have been getting smaller and he has had a better offer from elsewhere.
It's no surprise that he will continue to look after his past customers.

Re: Moran Motorhomes
A couple of years ago Cotswold Motorhomes, who along with Moran were long established AS dealers , also gave up AS , strangely they were also Burstner dealers, coincidence? Or have Burstner showed there are better deals to be had for dealers?Rocky wrote:This is surprising and disappointing news.

Re: Moran Motorhomes
I wonder if AS are slowly squeezing out the independent dealers to rely simply on (an expanded) Marquis network. After all, AS and Marquis are one and the same (same directors, same offices), so all the profits/margins are kept in house.
Just me speculating... !

Re: Moran Motorhomes
This is a great shame. We bought our Broadway from them in 2015 and they were excellent with no sales pressure whatsoever. When we subsequently had damp problems they liased with AS on our behalf and got us an excellent result including collection and delivery. Can’t praise them enough and wish all dealers were like Morans.
