Hi all

Patrick a new member from Ireland here - have joined forum as on the hunt for our first Autosleeper - focused on Autosleeper Legend. If anyone has any suggestions delighted to hear from you -ditto if any of you is considering selling a Legend. Ideally looking for a camper that can go on the road straight away but a van that needs some work not a problem as recently retired and happy to get stuck in to a project

Hi and welcome to the forum. I believe the Legend was based on the Mk5 Transit as was our Duetto. From my experience your biggest problem might be rust in the cab area. Being a coach build you may not have the rust as far back as I had.
Good luck with you’re hunt.

Perhaps you already have done the research, but importing a vehicle (particularly a Motorhome) into the Republic from GB or NI has become more tortuous and expensive.

From what I read the southern authorities frequently value a van at ridiculous valuations for VRT purposes.

Worth a bit of research, and there is knowledge on the old craic forum (now called motorhomeparkinglocations).
