we used 1p mobile for data only and access to telly here and in eu. the original deal was no roaming charges but the small print had this "fair use" policy.  does anyone use payg that is genuinely free from roaming charges?

People on other forums speak well of popit, it is an advertiser on Searchforsites, check the statement on the home page.
RWG, a welsh company also seem to be likely to allow roaming.

Unfortunately not. SMARTY fair use is 12GB per month, which sounds a lot, until you upload a lot of pictures and video using it. But, you can buy add-ons too (£9 for each extra 10GB). EE has a fair use EU limit of 50GB a month, which is better. I use a combination of both.

We used Popit on our 3 month Spring trip 100GB EU use and can be switched on / off very easily so mine is now off until we go to Europe again in Sept.
